We picked the B & B because they are pet friendly-- kudos to them--it is rare to find nice places that allow you to bring the four legged member of your family. The room was fine--a bit bare but very clean. If you go here you have to be prepared for the realities of country life. There are ticks in... More

Over the years we have found 9:00 am is the time most guests prefer to have our full, three-course breakfast. We are also happy to offer other options when guests ask for something different: we have shifted this time for those who are on the road and need to leave early, we provide a brown-bag "breakfast-to-go" when guests ask for... We have stayed at Fox Hill twice now and both were amazing. The first time we were in a suite with our own kitchen and this last time we brought our dog and stayed in a B&B room. There is nothing bad we could say about either experience; however, the breakfast was incredible so I may recommend it over making... More

My wife and I reserved a room at the Fox Hill B&B for an anniversary getaway. We had a very comfortable second floor room with beautiful views of the mountains and the surrounding area. The room was well decorated, spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. We enjoyed sitting out on our private balcony during the shade of the evening... More

Wonderful place to kick back and relax. I travel all over the world, frequently with my dog, and was very glad to find a place that is so welcoming and peaceful -- this is one of the best I've found when you just want to get away and have some quiet time. My room was very clean, large and comfortable,... More

My wife and I were booked into the Fox Hill property's "Fox’s Den Cottage Suite" on a full Memorial Day weekend. We failed to see a prior tripadvisor review, which correctly characterized the suite as a "basement apartment." Indeed--a foxhole is probably a more apt description. Dark and a little dank, your windowless bedroom comes complete with the audible movements... More

We are so sorry our recent guests did not enjoy their stay in our home. Yes, Fox's Den is located below grade as accurately described in this review and on our website. And there are no windows in either of the two bedrooms; there are 4 "well" type windows in the living room and kitchen that do not offer views... More

Very quiet, quaint B&B. Close enough to Lexington for dinner and sightseeing, but away from the hustle and bustle. Owners very friendly and helpful. Will stay there again and recommend it to friends. Nice place

We have stayed with Sue and Mark in the great Fox Hill Inn. This trip was an added bonus and we really enjoyed being back. The Inn is outstandingly clean and quiet. We loved the fact that our dogs are welcome and they were fascinated by the horse and donkey. The Inn is close to I-81 and to the lovely... More

My boyfriend and I were looking for a pet-friendly b&b that was near the Shenandoah Valley when we discovered Fox Hill. Sue and Mark were friendly and approachable and gave us the perfect balance between space and hospitality. Sue gave us some great food and hiking suggestions with lots of maps and directions to get us to the right place.... More

The owners make sure that every detail of your stay is fantastic! There are mowed walking trails along waterfalls in a stream and wonderful views of the mountains from all areas on the property. The rooms are spacious and well-maintained with everything you could think of to make your stay very relaxing and enjoyable.

Me and my Wife spent 2 nights at FoxHill and we had a lot of fun. There are small towns close by for historic sight seeing. Many outdoor stuff to see and do. Sue and Mark will make you feel at home with their breakfast, coffee and tea every morning. A great place to relax and get away from the... More
