I needed a place to crash for the night on a drive from New England to Florida, and Emporia was the perfect stopping point. I didn't want to spend a lot of money just for a place to crash--so I suppose I got what I paid for with this place. If you're looking for a night reminiscent of a CSI... More

We have stayed here before as we annually travel overland to visit my parents in Florida. Dinesh, the proprietor, loves his native India flora and shares his knowledge of natural medicines especially uses of Neem trees and Moringa that grew by his house in India. The rooms are clean, fresh, everything works, and the price is right. We will be... More

If you are looking for the Hotel Astoria keep on driving. If you are looking for a clean, quiet and very reasonable place to spend the night stop here. AC was also excellent and quiet. Danny at the front desk is a great guy and very personable. There is a very good authentic Mexican Restaurant down the road as well... More

We were greeted with a smile and a friendly face after driving for 7+ hours. We requested a room with a refrigerator. No extra charge! Something is free?? We were directed to a quiet room that was clean, cool, and comfortable. Not much of a continental breakfast, but the coffee was good, and the price was right.

Danny provides friendly, professional, and helpful service. He is a faith based man and tries to see the positive in every person and situation. For the money, one receives plenty of the basics. Rooms are well kept and VERY clean! Enjoyable stay.

My family stayed there for one night. Room was basic nothing to write home about. However we opened the drawer and a roach was in it. No mattress pads on bed. heater did not work well. Guy ay front desk was nice though.

Friendly Helpful Staff, Small But Clean Rooms. Rooms Are Dated With Tube TV And Older Furniture. Really Good For The Price, Paid $50 That Included A Minimal $5 Pet Fee For Our Large Dog. Very Quiet Back Road, Does Have A Train Near, But If You Are Used To City Living, Won't Bother You A Bit. Beds Were Comfortable, Good... More

I stayed here last week and the stay was excellent. I was checked in by Danny, the manager, and he did an excellent job of taking care of my needs. He was polite and went out of his way to assist me. You can tell that he is there to assist his guests and is very passionate about his work.... More

We had two rooms in early August. Both were large and clean but one had a faint smell of pet urine. We arrived late at night and we were told our rooms were around the back. It was poorly lit and we were the only ones in the back at that point so it was a little daunting. Later on... More

Old motel that needs repair. Room was clean but toilet leaked when flushed and the air conditioner was stopped up and the condensation was leaking into the room. The rug was wet and had been for some time because there was white mold on the carpet under the air conditioner. The bed was very hard. On a positive note, the... More
