Our hosts, Donna and Bill Smith, were gracious, knowledgeable of the history of the house and local area, and made recommendations as to things to see and do in the area, The rooms were ample and very comfortable. I would recommend the Renaissance B & B for a warm and comfortable get away!

Our annual mother and daughters weekend was made even more enjoyable thanks to Donna and Bill's welcoming hospitality. Their breakfasts were charming, room was comfortable and cozy, and recommendations were spot-on. And such a quaint area! We WILL be returning!

Just came back from a wonderful girls weekend trip and had such a fantastic time! This B&B was perfect! Wonderful hosts, they provided great advice and tips, fabulous food, the parking around back was convenient and a beautiful private yard out back. Recommended without a doubt and we will certainly be back! Lots of local places to visit, shop and... More

We truly enjoyed staying at this lovely B&B! It was very relaxing for us. The hosts, Donna and Bill, are beautiful people as they made us feel so welcome and comfortable. Our breakfast was delicious and enjoyed talking with the hosts. We hope to go back again!

The best B & B we've ever encountered--by far~a wonderful history-filled house circa 1856 in an historical town (Civil War era). Beautifully appointed, deluxe accommodations--everything you could want or need is provided in the room; anything else you need? Just ask, and it's also provided. Best mattress we've ever slept on, very firm. King beds provided in every room. Breakfast... More

Our group of 5 stayed overnight to attend our son's graduation from James Madison University. The B&B is 1/2 hr away from the school, easily accessible from the highway, and we were able to attend the morning graduation without any problem. Bill and Donna were gracious and attentive hosts. Our breakfast in the morning was fantastic (Belgian waffles, fruit, coffee,... More

This was one of our stops on a five day road trip. Bill and Donna are the most gracious hosts. Donna gave us a "historical tour" of the B&M. They also recommended one of the best restuarants we have eaten at in a really long time. It was the Italian place just down the road. When you first arrive, dont... More

What a perfect stay! Bill and Donna Smith, the owners of the B and B, made us feel so welcome. They greeted us with a glass of wine after which we enjoyed sitting on the front porch overlooking Main Street. After a lovely evening in the Rose Room we were overwhelmed with the hearty and tasty breakfast at the beautifully... More

Located in a tiny town in the middle of antique, wine and cavern country in the Shenandoah Valley, this B&B is a jewel. From the first impression -- a large wrap around porch, to the homey sitting/TV room (complete with a welcome glass of wine or soft drink or water), to the library at your disposal away from other activity,... This Bed and Breakfast is one of the more fun places I've ever stayed. Even though it is in a historic house, it has a comfortable and homey atmosphere that makes you want to relax in the TV room and talk to the other guests. Thoughtful details like the night lights (the innkeeper explained that she always feels disoriented when... More
