Made a two night stop over as part of a larger trip. Gorgeous B&B! Great people and accommodations. Highly recommend. Easy to locate. Snacks provided in room. Refrigerator available for guest use in hallway and stocked with water.

This gorgeous old mansion, owned and operated by Jake and Connie Eckman, is a fine example of restoration done with care. The home had been neglected for years, and now is as beautiful as it was originally. A photo album showing the mansion before restoration details the work involved in bringing this residence back to life. All rooms, including the... More

I am so happy we found the II Georges Inn! We came to town for the NASCAR race in Martinsville and were completely comfortable with the distance to the track (only about 20 minutes). I have stayed at many bed and breakfasts and Connie and Jake's II Georges is one of the best in my book. The attention to detail... More

Our mid-winter getaway was made perfect by our stay at the lovely II Georges Inn, an exquisitely restored Victorian masterpiece of a house. We stayed in Ruth's room (of course), furnished with beautiful antiques and divinely comfortable bedding. Bed-side sherry, cozy bathrobes, everything that could make our stay heavenly had already been thought of. We breakfasted in style in the... More

My wife and I have never been to a bed and breakfast and we found this hidden gem for our first time. Connie and Jake made us feel right at home. We stayed in Daddy D's room which was very spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. After a warm guided tour of the house and property by the friendly... More

My wife and I spent a very pleasant night here on our way back North - owner Jake was very friendly and helpful, both on the phone when we made he booking (at short notice) and when we arrived, helping us with our bags and showing us the in and outs of the home he and Connie have so lovingly... My fiance and I stayed here a few days before our wedding and it was fantastic! The owners have really made this house into a beautiful work of art. Their hard work and dedication with renovation has paid off. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful experience!

The pictures of II Georges Inn do not do it justice. You simply have to experience it to appreciate the thoroughness and thoughtful detail that has gone into the restoration of this B&B. Jake and Connie have done an incredible job in bringing this Victorian mansion back to its potential. It is decorated beautifully with a lot of thought and... More

We recommend this bed and breakfast as a nice alternative to the usual chain hotel stay that is available in Danville. It is very comfortable and furnished beautifully. The owners also run Jake's on Main, a very good restaurant close by.

Connie and Jake have renovated a lovely, historic home, into a charming B&B, with all the amenities and comforts at an affordable price. Room was spacious and bed divine. Plenty of free parking and easy to find. Delicious breakfast was made to order. I forgot one of my travel kits and Connie graciously mailed it to me. I will always... More
