We recently spent several nights at Cedar Gables. The room was well very roomy and comfortable for my wife and our 18 year old daughter. The room was clean and gave three people plenty of space ( we stayed in Lori's Room) The bathroom was also clean and had jacuzzi bathtub that a human could take a bath in, not... More

My friend and I had a delightful stay at the Cedar Gables Seaside Inn last week. In a quiet, beautiful setting overlooking the wetlands, this classy inn has it all: location; sophisticated, comfortable rooms; excellent breakfasts; helpful, friendly hosts. We were especially impressed with the attention to detail: our room, the Oriental Suite, had not only comfy reading chairs, but... More

The house is located near the main strip but far enough from the activity of the beach town. The room was spacious with charming decor. It felt as if the entire house was ours, though they were fully booked- we never saw another couple except at breakfast. Kitty, the manager has great local recommendations. The dock, pool, & hot tub... More

The location of the Inn is perfect if you like quiet and waterfront. It is only a short ride to town or to the wildlife refuge. Close enough but miles away in peacefulness. Our room was large with a spa tub and shower. The bed was comfy and we had a deck that faced the water of the bay. They... More

We stayed at the cedar gables mid week for one night while briefly visiting Chincoteague. The welcome was not as warm as most of the other b and bs we have stayed at. But, the captains quarters was the prettiest room with the greatest views of any place we know. The turret was incredible to watch the severe thunderstorm at... More

I received a booking confirmation but three weeks later was told the booking was invalid because there was small print on the website that said there was a minimum of three nights stay. I expect that an online reservation system would inform me that I can't make a booking or I would be told immediately that they needed a minimum... More

There surely must be some misunderstanding here because we have a "sent' email dated Apr. 12, the same day that you made your reservation reiterating our 3 day minimum holiday policy, followed by a phone call a few days later and another phone message the following week and finally the last email on Apr. 24th a full month before your... My wife and I just returned from 4 lovely nights at the Cedar Gables Inn on Chincoteague Island, VA. We enjoyed the Inn, staff and island immensely! Cedar Gables is a lovely, obviously gabled, waterfront property located overlooking Little Oyster Bay. The property is well maintained and facilitates include a great dock out to the water with chairs to sit... More

If you're looking for a quiet out of the way place.. this is it. The lady that runs this B&B makes a great breakfast every morning to get you off to a good start on the island. The place is clean and well maintained .... and then there are these two adarondike chairs on the end of the pier...perfect to... More

This is a wonderful B&B with two wonderful hostesses and an incredible breakfast. My family and I stayed in Lori's Room for four days in July 2013. Every morning Kitty had a different menu, from fresh shrimp and eggs Benedict to Southwest Omelet's, with fresh fruit salad and juices, good tea, and desserts (all inclusive). Cedar Gables has its own... More
