We are what we consider veteran B&B-ers. Since 1979, we've made 89 visits to 76 different B&Bs and country inns in 4 countries and 17 states. By this time we have developed some high expectations of the places we stay. Channel Bass Inn was one of the most delightful experiences we have had in thirty years of visiting B&Bs! We'd... more

My husband and I recently spent three nights here for a mini-honeymoon, and we couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. The filling, delicious breakfasts were a great way to start the day, and we enjoyed meeting other guests from other states and countries. The rooms are tastefully decorated and well appointed, and at the end of every day,... more

I saw one of the previous reviews that said "the bathrooms were a little old", but maybe that's because the Inn itself was built in 1892. If you are looking for a new, modern hotel - this isn't it. I stay at a B&B for rustic charm and old-fashioned hospitality. Both were available in quantity at the Channel Bass Inn.... more

For more than 20 years we have travelled to Chincoteague, staying in homes of friends, renting cottages &, for shorter stays, booking rooms at one or the other of the two waterfront national chain hotels. Our daughter (30) took note of the Inn and its advertised Teas when we were on the Island the weekend of July 4, this year.... more

My husband and I stayed in the Topcliffe room. Our room was spacious with a couch and a huge king sized bed. The sheets on the bed were soft and luxurious. We loved the triple sheeting that allowed for warmth without the bulk of a comforter. Our window air conditioner kept the room cool during the heat and humidity of... more

My husband and I stayed at the Channel Bass Inn for 4 nights in July for a mini-vacation. It was the best bed and breakfast we have stayed at! Barbara and David were fantastic hosts-we felt like we were part of the family! They went out of their way to make us feel at home: from lending us beach chairs... more

My Granddaughters and I were able to experience the gracious hospitality of the host and hostess at the Channel Bass Inn. The property is beautiful and tastefully decorated. I have wanted to stop there for a long time and finally did so this month. We had tea in the tea room and the food was outstanding. The scones prepared on... more

We visited the Channel Bass Inn with our little toddler and had a fantastic time. We chose this particular inn because we prefer vacation rentals and B&Bs to impersonal motels but a lot of Mid-Atlantic area B&Bs don't allow children. Barbara and Dave are exceptional hosts, they really "make" the experience there. They welcomed us like family, were really nice... more

I have been staying at the Channel Bass Inn as often as possible for the past ten years. The owners, Barbara and David, are wonderfully friendly as well as the best cooks - my whole family loves her scones!!! Real British scones!!! Barbara sent scones home with my daughter and son-in-law that needed to be cooked. I followed her directions... more

Facing a summer full of various obligations, my fiancee and I decided on a last minute getaway to the shore. We had been to Assateague many times over the past few years, and thought we'd give Chincoteague a try. We were glad we did, and glad we found the Channel Bass Inn. The owners, Barbara and David, were very gracious... more
