When planning an early May trip to Virginia's Chincoteague Island I read a lot of very positive reviews for this B&B, and during our two-day stay the Channel Bass Inn lived up to or exceeded everything I had read about it. The Inn itself is a charming, rambling house filled with antiques and a collection of books on the history... More

My bride and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at the Channel Bass Inn and could not have asked for a more wonderful time. Barbara & David took care of every detail, from dinner at Bill's and a sunset cruse aboard Daisey's Island Cruises, to bicycles to use for cruising around the island. But that was only half the experience.... More

Take a step back to a quieter time with tasteful charm and hospitality. The Channel Bass Inn is very warm & homey. David & Barbara were wonderful hosts/hostess for our 5 day stay. I am a 'from scratch' cook and I'm often disappointed when eating away from home, but not at the Channel Bass which pays attention to detail and... More

My husband and I decided to go to Chincoteague for an anniversary getaway. We were so fortunate to have picked the Channel Bass Inn. This was a wonderful experience! The hosts made us feel like we were their only guests. The ground floor suite was roomy, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfasts and afternoon tea were quite a treat. We enjoyed... More

Four of us--two generations, millennials and baby boomers--stayed at the lovely B&B The Channel Bass Inn on Chincoteague Island in early May as a birthday present to one of the millennials, who, now 27, had met innkeepers Barbara and David 20 years ago. It was like they had seen each other often in between. At the end of our stay... More

We spent two nights at the Channel Bass Inn while we were visiting Chincoteague. The Inn is homey and charming and located right in the downtown shopping area. Everything about this Inn is welcoming and relaxing from the pretty English garden to the comfortable living room with many books to thumb through to our sunny room with a pleasant sitting... More

Loved our trip! Had breakfast before we stayed the night, and the owners of the B&B were more than accommodating. When we checked out, they even sent us off with extra baked breads and coffee ! The house was beautiful, the cats were cute and the entire experience was perfect.

My husband and I came to Chincoteague Island planning to camp for the night. When the weather got really windy and rainy, we looked for somewhere to stay with our 3 year old boxer Barley. We fortunately stumbled upon the Channel Bass Inn and Barbara welcomed us kindly. We stayed in a newly remodeled room and David and Barbara were... More

My wife, myself and our travel partners took advantage of 4 day long weekend in early Nov. and stayed in Chincoteague at this wonderful B&B. Barbara and David were the perfect hosts. Their dinning suggestions were always spot on ant they even took care of the reservations. It was a very relaxing stay that re-energized all of us. If you... More

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights for our "baby moon" getaway. The Channel Bass Inn's warm atmosphere was the perfect setting for our relaxing weekend. Both Barbara and David were extremely helpful and friendly. They made our stay as stress free as possible. The town of Chincoteague has a very charming character and is full of small shops... More
