Just arrived home today from 4 nights at Tom's Cove Park. We were there specifically for the Pony Penning. This was a first time camping for me in a long time! We were in a non hookup tent site (section A) . I was surprised at how big the site was! It was just two of a staying in one... More

Our family has been staying at Tom's Cove for 10+ years and up until this year we've had a pleasant experience. We've tried on repeated occasions throughout the years to reserve campsites and year-to-date we've been unable to do so. Each year we reserve by mail, send in our 40$ deposit, and cross our fingers, but we always end up... More

I had been camping at Toms Cove for many many years. My family has permanent sites year round. But, this year changed everything. It is common knowledge that the campground does not accept reservations for specific sites. I camped there in July this year. I was asked to move to another location 2 nights before my 10 days would end.... More

Our family of three (with 8 year daughter) enjoyed tenting mid-week in June at Tom's Cove at one of the non-hook-up sites. We were close to the pool and bath house - which was very convenient. The view was nice from our tent area, and the shade from the large pine trees was appreciated. We agree about some concerns with... More

My son and I put a tent up in an RV city. This place is huge. And very full. The people all seem to be wk long residents and they really settle in. They were hanging on each other's sites having a good time, which is FINE, and by midnight the camp was silent. But the staff was friendly. The... More

I've been going to Tom's Cove for about 20 years, though until this week I had not been there in ten years. It's an ok place in many ways, but it's a little odd. First off, they take reservations only by mail - I mean real mail with stamps. It's like the telephone or internet have not been invented yet.... More

We have been camping at toms cove for over 12 yrs. Overall the campground is well run and very comfortable. The bathrooms and showers by the pool area do need updating and general overhall. There are bingo games on fridays and bands do provide entertainment. There are alot of golf carts, bikes, etc.., but this is a family campground. I... More

I must admit I am alittle biased, I have been going to Toms Cove Campground since I was a small child. We tent camp at the sites in the corner of the campground under the pines near the swimming pool. The bathrooms are clean and it's a very laid back friendly place. One small problem is the reservation process isn't... More

We stayed at the campground for a week, the end of July, 2011. It was our first time at the campground as we are pretty new to RV'ing in general. To us it was a pretty laid back campground, mostly families. It had a night watchman, gated entrance, enough security and support to find help or get questions answered when... More

And ignorant dog owners. Four dogs on one site. Was attacked by two of them. (Off leash and unattended) Constant barking at anyone that walked by. After repeated complaints to the owner and security, nothing was done. My family fell in love with Chincoteague, but we wiped our feet of Tom's Cove Campground.
