Lovely room with updated bath. Friendly hosts and superb breakfast. They even provided a complimentary glass of wine in the afternoon! Would definitely return and recommend to friends traveling to Charlottesville/Monticello.

We've stayed at a lot of inns in the Cville area, and this is one of the best. Nice large rooms, updated bathrooms, soft fluffy towels and robes. Wonderful porch for sitting (there was one outside our room but it was raining). Fabulous breakfast. Everyone sits together for breakfast so we got to know others at the inn, and made... More

The inn is in an excellent location and the hosts are fantastic. They provided evening drinks; and upon returning to the inn in the evening, a delicious homemade snack was provided. Breakfasts were wonderful. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 was that the room was a little too warm for me. I would have liked to have... More

We chose The Inn At Monticello when we decided to spend our 45th wedding anniversary in Charlottesville. We could not have made a better choice. It is a very charming and comfortable B&B on a beautiful site. Bob and Carolyn, the Innkeepers, were so warm and welcoming. I had spoken to Bob when I made my reservation and he suggested... More

We spent last weekend (Thursday-Sunday) and stayed in the Jefferson Room. The breakfasts were abundant and delicious, the room was comfortable, and the entire atmosphere was relaxing for us. We enjoyed having coffee on the porch before breakfast was served; wine is offered in the early afternoon, and cookies are placed in the entryway in the evening. Most importantly, the... More

After staying in large hotels in NY and Washington, arriving at the Inn at Monticello was like stepping into another world. The inn itself sits in a lush garden, full of birds and frogs, and offers peace and tranquillity in a location convenient for the town and Monticello. The warmth of the welcome was genuine. Our room was elegantly furnished,... More

If you are thinking twice about choosing the Inn at Monticello don't. The photos on their website really do not do it justice. It a beautiful, relaxing retreat with impeccably decorated, comfortable and clean rooms. We stayed in the Lilac room which has a beautiful private balcony - where we enjoyed drinking wine with views of the garden. The hosts... More

We booked the cottage at the last minute while planning a trip to Mrytle Beach. Bob and Carolyn were very friendly on the phone helping me and even more upon check in. The house is beautiful, the breakfast delicious and the location could not have been better. They are not far from sites and restaurants but it feels like you... More

This beautiful property is located across the street from the enjoyable walk up the mountain to Monticello and near to quaint shops and restaurants. The house is cozy and serene, and the innkeepers are welcoming. We enjoyed the delicious breakfasts with other guests seated around the large dining table and appreciated the dietary accommodations made by the chefs. We hope... More

We decided to stay at the Inn at Monticello after checking out their website and reading TripAdvisor reviews. We were not disappointed! From the moment we walked into the inn we felt at home because of the warm welcome we received from Bob (the owner). He showed us to our room, the green room, which was large and so nicely furnished.... More
