While it is not the typical B&B in that it is a restored building the Foxfield Inn is a beautiful, well run and perfectly located. It should be your first choice if you visit the area. It is located in the middle of horse country, with rolling hills and striking pastures and only 10 minutes from the central out door mall.... More

Came here for our honeymoon and we had a great time, very relaxing. The owner greeted us with drinks while we unpacked our luggage. In the afternoon we had drinks in the hot tub, then went out on the town. The next morning breakfast was sent out in multiple courses. Someone spent some time thinking about and preparing breakfast. It... More

We spent two wonderful nights at the Foxfield Inn. It's conveniently situated out of town, but within easy reach of all the sights and restaurants. The room (Rose) was lovely, the bed sumptuously comfy with butter soft linens, the bathroom was large and the attention to detail inside and outside the room was amazing - anything you could have wished... If you are looking for a B & B in Charlottesville, look no further. My husband and I stayed in the Audobon room and it was spacious and spotless, with an extremely comfortable bed. Kathryn's breakfasts were incredible.I cannot eat gluten but didn't mention it in advance... I knew there would be bacon, sausage, fruit, and coffee for breakfast. There... More

Thank you for your comments and we are very glad that you had a good time while here. I am also glad that you enjoyed the gluten free options we provided for you. There's been no more sightings of bears in Mint Springs Park to our knowledge but it's always safe to be on the look-out. All the best, Dan... More

I really wanted to give this B&B a 5, but the only thing that caused me to go 4 was the lack of sound insulation. The rooms are all in one hallway, akin to typical suburban house. So the coffee station is out in the hallway near the doors of all of the rooms. And the sound insulation there is... More

Thank you for taking the time to let us know there was a noise issue with people getting their coffee in the morning outside the room you stayed in. We will try to figure out the best way to abate it. We checked with guests this week (after reading your comments) to see if they had a problem with the... More

My fiancé and I stayed at the Foxfield Inn and all I can say that it was amazing. The room was beautiful, the breakfasts that Kathryn made were divine. We got to know the other guests at breakfast and the wonderful cocktail hour which was left for us from 4pm-7pm. You cannot compare any regular chain hotel to this kind... More

Thank you for the kind words about your stay with us. It was great helping you celebrate your engagement. The laughter and talk around the table and in the Gathering Room was quite infectious while you were here. All the best! Dan & Kathryn More

We checked our troubles at the door and let the soothing setting and wonderful hosts lift our cares for a couple of nights. Every detail was perfect - the bed was comfy, the house was impeccably clean, the breakfast was stellar. We especially loved the ice cream dessert for breakfast on Friday morning. The outdoor hot tub was also a... More

Thank you so much for the review of your stay with us. We are glad that you enjoyed your time here - including when you fed our goldfish in the small pond outside the breakfast room. Hope you had a safe trip home and that we see you again. - Dan & Kathryn More

My husband and I (and another couple) recently spent three nights at Foxfield Inn. We stayed in the Hunt Room which was very private and roomy with a great bathroom (loved the 2 person jacuzzi). This is a beautiful B & B, and Dan and Kathryn are the ultimate host and hostess. The grounds are very pretty, and we enjoyed... More

We stayed at this lovely B&B over the weekend in the Audobon Room. The little things that we noticed, impressed us the most.....Black "make-up" towel for us women...bath salts for the Jacuzzi...fresh tulips everywhere...awesome peanut butter cookies available 24hrs...etc. Breakfasts were scrumptious and Kathryn even shared the recipes with us. Lots of places to sit outside, if you want sun... More

We stayed in the Garden Room. I loved the view of the garden from our room. In California we don't have many trees, so we really enjoyed the garden. The first night we rocked in the rockers on the porch, enjoying our books and wine. The breakfast was great, but those chocolate cookies were the best!
