If you want a decent room at a competitive price (I paid $75 a night for a double), a location near UVA, the UVA athletic facilities, "the Corner," and a huge mall all within walking distance, Best Western Cavalier is a good choice. We had a double and one of the beds was terribly uncomfortable. The bathroom ceiling was very low and claustrophobic. This was a no frills hotel and is what I would expect for $69. more

Even though we had no connection with the nearby University of Virginia, the location was convenient for most of the attractions in the Charlottesville area.
