This hotel has had a recent update. It's still an old school layout with tiny bathrooms, but the decor reminds me of budget hotels in Europe with modern, but no frills design. The beds were comfortable and linens in good condition. The cleaning staff had done a great job. Breakfast was very basic with the ubiquitous Belgian waffle maker. Nobody... More

I was in Charlottesville for a night just to visit UVA. The hotel is well located, about 5 minutes walking to The Lawn. The room was big and comfortable with two queen beds. The bathroom was small but clean. The breakfast was very simple but I was not expecting anything great so it was fine. Everything correct for a motel.

Had two nights here, staff were very nice and the manager made us very welcome and let us check in early. Room was a bit small and so was bed but we coped. It was clean and convenient for downtown, probably a mile walk but there's a free shuttle which you can get over the road. It takes you right... More

I stayed for one night on 2 separate occasions and both times the rooms and bathrooms were clean and the beds comfortable but the air conditioner was fairly noisy. There are laundry facilities which really suited me as I was in between 2 live-in courses with no washing available, so was able to use the washing machine and dryer. It... More

This hotel was downright awful. I wasn't expecting the Ritz, but for $165 I was expecting a room that was not in the basement and lacking a proper window. In addition to these lovely features, this "suite" featured an exposed light bulb, a warm fridge, a dirty ring in the toilet and a moldy/musty stench that left us congested. Of... More

This hotel is either currently ongoing renovations (hopefully) or just finished (hopefully not). Our room had new furnishings but the bathroom was missing shelving, there were no towel racks, the vanity was tiny, and there was a large iron burn on the tub... The location is perfect, though, as Charlottesville is not that big but being near the University allows... More

Room #14 was very nice with 2 comfortable queen size beds, a single sink with plenty of space for 3 of us to have our toiletries on, a large shower with great water pressure. Refrigerator, microwave, and safe were also in the room. Our a/c was very noisy, and a tad bothersome. The free breakfast was nice (make your own... More

Renovations are ongoing so take that into consideration. It's no fun when the water gets turned off while you are showering and shaving. It's a HUGE inconvenience when the batteries in the door lock are so low that you have to get new keys every time you come back to the hotel and the management knows about it but doesn't... More

I got a great deal on this hotel through Booking.com so it's hard to criticize, but there are some concerns. The pros are the price I paid which was a total of $70 including tax. I tried to get a second night at that rate, but Booking couldn't help, and the rate went up to $119. There are two types... More

This is a great no frills, no-smoking hotel- all rooms have recently been renovated. New carpet, bathrooms, TV, frig, microwave. Clean fresh sheets, no smell in the room. Great shower. Free wifi in room. Wall receptacle plate beside bed with USB charging ports for your cell or computer. Hairdryer, iron, & board, small safe. Guest washer/dryer. Free trolley to the... More
