We very much enjoyed our one night stay at the FairHaven Guesthouse. Both Raven and Flame are excellent Host and very accommodating. We will surely stay there again on our next tour through the area. We highly recommend this to other indie bands traveling through.

We really enjoyed our one-night stay at Fairhaven Guesthouse. It was an excellent alternative to a hotel, and for the price it can't be beat. Their rooms are very comfortable and Flame and Raven are excellent hosts. It's truly like staying at a friend's house for the night.

We were staying in Charlottesville to visit friends and this was a great hotel alternative and an excellent way to save money. It was close enough to downtown that we could have walked there if we wanted to do so. It is not a fancy B&B, but a clean suburban type split level. The hosts Raven and Flame were helpful... More

Thank you! We're glad you had an enjoyable stay. We're very happy to provide an affordable place to stay in Charlottesville. I've always found a full fruit bowl a welcoming sight. I'm glad you enjoyed it! We hope you stay with us again in the future! Raven More

Flame and Raven couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. We had 2 rooms and they were basic but everything was clean and we had everything we needed. Breakfast was DIY and that was good and the ingredients left for us were what we would have wanted:eggs/bread/oats/fruit/good coffee and tea having been sated on sweet things at previous stops. Having... More

One of our goals is to provide healthy food for breakfasts. You won't find super-sugary cereals or pastries here, just good, high-quality food to get your day started right. I'm glad it was what you were looking for. I'm glad you liked the Downtown Thai! There are so many good restaurants on the Downtown Mall, it's hard to have less... More

My friend and I took a weekend trip to visit Monticello, and we stayed one night in the blue room. Our room was clean, quiet, and well-maintained. The bathroom right across the hall was neat as well. The roomy living area has a comfortable layout, and the large screened deck out back is idyllic for hanging out in the summer.... More

Such a lovely review, thank you! We're glad you got your wallet back safely. We've all been there - it's so easy to overlook something. It's our standard to leave our guests feeling taken care of, and of course that means dealing quickly when things like this happen. Glad you enjoyed your stay! More

Road weary from traveling through storms and congested traffic, I decided to stop early in Charlottesville. I'm accustomed to hotels along 64 being busy on weekends, but the chains along the highway were unusually full, and the prices were ridiculous. So I fired up TripAdvisor and found the FairHaven Guesthouse, with good reviews here and wait—what?—$75 a night compared to... More

I'm very glad you found us! And happy that you liked our favorite restaurant - most of our guests end up hearing about Beer Run - we should ask for some kind of commission! :-) That fan is high on our list! The next time you stay, it'll be working the way it should. Fortunately the fans in the other... More

We stayed here while attending our son's college graduation. Flame & Raven were both so warm & accommodating. They really made us feel welcome. The location is great! It's very close to the downtown mall area & to the UVA campus. The house is cozy, clean, & the bed was very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

Thank you! We started this business because we love interacting with people. We've loved the guests who've come through. We're very happy with our location. We often walk or bike downtown, and Flame particularly has gotten familiar with the city bus system - there's a bus that goes right past our house. We'd love to have you stay again!!! Raven More

Very clean, comfortable, and homey. Inexpensive and easy. I really appreciated the warm welcome, the ease of making arrangements, and the casual atmosphere. It really feels like staying at a friend's house, while having your own space. They are very conscious of recycling and using local and 'green' products, which we really loved. It's a very nice house with a... More

Our cat, Shirley, is a sweety. We're glad you liked her company. She's adjusting to being a downstairs cat now. We're very much into using natural products for cleaning, and avoid harsh chemicals whenever possible. Thanks for your kind words. We hope you'll stay again the next time you're in town. More

A lovely place. Informal & inexpensive. The hosts are warm & welcoming. The house is on top of a hill, so there's a feeling of being far from downtown, though it's only a mile away. We were there for a couple of days, wish we could have stayed longer.

What a lovely first review. Thank you so much for your kind words! We often walk to the downtown mall, it's so close. and it's wonderful being on a quiet, residential street. We certainly hope you'll come again! More
