The Comfort Inn-Monticello in Charlottesville, VA, is very affordable for families and located within a few miles of all the major attractions in Charlottesville. I enjoyed the free, hot breakfast buffet each morning. The hotel was clean and quiet; it is set off the major highway leading into Charlottesville. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit the... more

When you approach the inn on the hill, you are greeted with a disintegrating, weed filled front lot. Not the best first impression! Fortunately, my family of 3 stayed for just one night. The check-in staff was friendly and professional. However, this two story hotel has no elevator – ridiculous. Reserve a room on the first floor. As you walk... more

Dear Jolv: We apologize for your unpleasant experience at our property and appreciate your feedback. I would like to clarfiy that the lot you described as our "Curb Appeal" or lack there of, is not the Comfort Inn' property. As you hopefully noticed the "For Sale" sign in the middle of the weedy field. Unfortunately the owner will not even...

We stayed here to attend a weekend wedding at Keswick Hall. Our stay was so wonderful. Staff were gracious and accommodating but best of all, our room was incredibly clean! We did not have time to spend in town so we will definately be back and we will definately stay here! It was our home on the hill! more

My family (3 adults and 3 children) stayed here for one night as a stopover on our way to Florida. We have stayed at other Comfort Inns, and have had good experiences. This hotel is located in a quiet area which was a plus - it is set back from the roadway so that you don't hear the traffic. However,... more

We spent two nights here while in town to attend a wedding at the UVA chapel and recption at Glenmore country club, this place is halfway between those two places. Our rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable the decor in the rooms is a little drab and the lighting was depressing. This place is way better than the... more

I coordinated a group event in Charlottesville for the first time. All the staff at this Comfort Inn were genuinely friendly and always helpful. Our group rooms were all together, the breakfast room staff were helpful and the Manager was interested in our activities. The rooms were clean and pleasant. The pool was always filled with what looked like happy... more

My family arrived at the Comfort Inn after finding out rooms at the Hilton were filled. I was pleasantly surprised to find the rooms very clean and kept nicely. I felt that management truly wanted the guests to be comfortable and I felt well taken care of. We only stayed for one night but would have stayed longer. We traveled... more

We chose this hotel because it is close to Monticello. It is , however, far from restaurants and downtown area. I would stay closer to downtown next time. Also, hotels in the summer in this area are pricey and this is a cheaper option, but room was dated, musty smell from A/C vents, bathroom dirty, beds very firm. Lobby area... more

We are sorry for your less than pleasant stay. I am not sure I understand the far away comment as we are only 1 mile from about 20 restaurants and only 6 miles from Monticello. As far as the musty smell and AC vents had you asked us to move you to another room we would have immediately and gladly...

I'm not a fan of Comfort Inns, but we wanted to stay near Monticello so we choose this hotel w/ some trepidation. Our room was fine, but the hotel has a dated feel, a weird lay-out (it was a *hike* from our room to lobby), and zero curb appeal. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful, but in a very... more

We are sorry your stay with us was not up to par. Our hotel lay out is a hollow square, sorry for any inconvenience the architecture may have caused you. Next time when staying with a hotel please report any “interesting folks” you see in the parking lot as we want to make sure that our guests are safe and...

Our 2 adjoining rooms had an OVER-POWERING mildew smell. It was late at night and I was SO sickened that I wanted to move rooms any way... but my whole family of 6 was already settled in and didn't want to move so I have to suffer. I did call to complain and they said they were sorry. That is... more

We are sorry for your recent bad experience at our hotel. Thank you for complimenting our front desk staff although I have a hard time accepting that the “tremendously sweet and helpful girls” didn’t offer any comment except for “sorry”, we aren’t a Gold Award winning property for no reason. We hope that next time you stay somewhere and are...
