I have stayed here a few times because I like the convenient location and the medieval theme of the rooms. The rooms are usually dim and somewhat dirty with minor repairs needed. But on the last occasion I did not get one of the better rooms. There was a hole in the wall the size of someone's fist which I... more

I stayed at this hotel in November. I arrived tired after a flight from England and was quickly checked in and settled I had one of the rooms on the front of the building It was clean and tidy and well looked after There was an un-used smell when I first entered but this disapaited after a few hours The... more

This place is beyond disgusting. There are bed bugs everywhere, dampness in the room, everything smells, everything is old. I did not have to try hard to imagine what had gone on in there before I graced the room, there was plenty of evidence on hand. Do not stay here it is beyond horrifying and what's most absurd is the... more

Charlottesville has very few dog-friendly accommodations, and all accommodations are expensive. On future visits for dog shows in town, I will either stay somewhere out of town or just not enter the dog shows. This looks to be a 30-35 year old hotel. Aside from the mattresses and the TV, it does not appear that anything has been changed during... more

The management of this establishment is the worst I have seen. The rooms are dusty, dirty, smelly, and nasty. I was forced to stay here when there was no more rooms left in the whole town. I had to find out the hard way why this place is the last hotel to fill up in the whole town during a... more

This place is a Health Hazard. We went to visit our Daughter at college in March and this place was the only place in town that rooms were available. I KNOW WHY NOW--READ ON. This hotel was Health Hazard. The room was disgusting. When we woke up the next day, my wife had a severe cough. Almost like she got... more

While traveling on Business on 10/15 I quickly discovered that there were no rooms in Charlottesville available because of something going on at UVA this weekend. I was informed that Red Carpet Inn had 8 rooms still available. Coming up on the property it looked really nice (good landscaping, parking lot well kept). I was quoted 69.95 for a smoking... more

The carpet was filthy the funiture ( if you can call it that) was filthy, broken and water damaged. the bathroon door had been kicked in, so the latches... more

All other hotels were booked and I was stuck here. For $85, I was treated to a room with a very uncomfortable bed, vanity light that did not work, no coffee in the room, dirty floors in bathroom, tears in the carpet, and poor cable reception. Thank God I was only there one night. Never again. more
