If you are not picky, skimping on your budget, or won't be in your room much, you might want to stay here. Otherwise, spring for the extra $20-$30 per day to stay up the street at the Courtyard Marriott or the Hampton Inn. The front desk staff is plenty nice, but the overall experience is not great-to-yucky.

Dear Kerry S. I truly am sorry that the Inn is showing its age. However as a service professional I am very disappointed to read that we did not meet your expectations in housekeeping issues and for that I sincerely apologize on behalf of the entire team here. I also regret that we were not able to sense your discontent... More

The Red Roof Inn is a good hotel to stay, very affordable for that area....I am most excited about the splendid customer service that I received during the three nights I stayed at the hotel. Ms. LaTisha was an excellent host and met all my request! I was visting my sick mother in the hospital at UVA and she and... More

The room was clean but very out dated. Bed spread and sheets had cigarette burns. Manager was friendly enough although not the most warming of nature. He did recommend a restaurant for dinner that was very good. Close to shopping area and eateries.

Several of the desk people, especially Tasha, were very helpful to me and flexible when it came to making sure I was taken care of--they certainly did not need to do so, and such kindness is especially valuable when you are away from your home resources.

Best option for budget visiting to UVA students. I stay there often, and it’s probably the best value hotel in Charlottesville with regard to location and price. The rooms are very large, and the internet is fast, but I’m disappointed that they removed the coffee espresso machine in the lobby.

We stayed in this hotel over a night to take part in a chess tournament. It is strategically located very close to UVA and a lot of restaurants. Parking is very convenient. The hopet is pet friendly. However, an air unit is very loud, there is no breakfast and the place is very noisy.WiFi is not very good. Also, the... More

Thanks to Tasha, who is the best guest service relations I've ever met, and I've stayed in 5 star hotels, a very stressful trip became fun. Expedia completely messed up my reservation and when I called them, they said their system was down for two hour and to call back then. When I did, I was told to call back... More

we had to book with them as it was a last minute stay because of car trouble. The hotel is really old, outdated, and smelly. It needs to be updated and cleaned really well. The AC unit barely worked but we didn't say anything as I'm sure they were all that way. The water pressure and temp is horrible. The... More

The building shakes on the top floors. Refrigerator didn't work. They will tow your vehicle if parked in their garage past checkout time. Maid skipped room. Coffee in lobby has powdered creamer. Stay somewhere else!

We requested to be on the 1st floor due to my husbands illness. We were given a room on the 8th floor (top floor) when he went to lay down there were hairs in the bed and some type of black eyeliner on the sheet and pillow case. Soooo when we called the front desk lady immediately said come down... More
