Stayed one night for a wedding in Charlottesville. The front desk staff were a little slow checking in but very friendly. The hotel is still going through some construction and it wasn't interfering with my stay until Sunday morning. The room was clean and spacious. I would have no problem staying here again. It's only been open a month so... More

As others have indicated, $7/day mandatory valet parking. At least the attendants are nice and waits are pretty short. Staff is friendly. Hotel still under construction. Rooms missing amenities such as an iron, but they did have a hairdryer. Public areas are just okay. Only one elevator was in service, so waits were up to a few minutes. Fitness center... More

nice hotel with great decor and close to everything. once they get the bar up and running and the elevator fixed it will be much, much better. the staff made the stay wonderful though. LAQUISHA at the front desk went out of her way to make sure she could answer every question we had for her. she was wonderful!

I am a veteran global traveler (Marriott Platinum, United Airlines 1k) and have stayed and seen all sorts of hotels around the world. This hotel is a 'boutique' style hotel that has a 'school' type theme reflected in its décor and motif. Stayed here for several nights in town. The staff is very polite, professional and competent. The room we... More

I agree with the others about not wanting too many people to know about this gem, lest I am unable to secure a future reservation. Love just about everything about this place from the extremely helpful and friendly staff to the retro chic room decor. The vintage card catalog front desk was a delight for my seven-year-old as it held... More

I almost hate to write this review out of worry that I won't be able to get a room here if too many people find out about this gem of a hotel. The graduate is the perfect place to stay when visiting Charlottesville, particularly the University of Virginia. Perfectly situated on "the Corner" and thus walking distance from the campus,... LOVE, LOVE this hotel so far! Reserving my last star * for when all renovations complete (ie Vending machine installed on my floor :). Check in was a breeze - even at 8 pm at night. Donald and Marco were great and so welcoming! The lobby is cool with a great coffee bar - will check that out tomorrow! The... More

This hotel has potential but they've got to figure out an option for the $7 daily parking fee. The parking attendant Shenandoah was very helpful from the beginning to the end of our 4 night stay. It's just so inconvenient and frankly the rooms cost enough without the additional parking fee. We upgraded to a suite the 3rd and 4th... More

Carmel, Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience, we hope you are all rested up from attending the wedding. Yes, we have a fun pink elevator, for now! Stay tuned for exciting changes with our suites as we continue to dot our "I's" and cross our "T's" to bring Charlottesville the absolutely best Boutique Hotel experience. More

This is a very new hotel (used to be the Red Roof Inn) on the Corner from UVA. Since it is brand new, they have some things to work out. First, they need to finish the rooms...ours had many marks of painter's tape of areas that needed to be painted! Check in was okay...a bit slower than normal with a... More

When I went to graduate school at the University of Virginia, this was a Red Roof end. When we looked to book a room for a weekend visit, I was skeptical. If you have to stay in hotels often, this hotel is a nice break. You come to expect a certain level of comfort, which the hotel provides, but it... More

We are thrilled to hear you enjoyed your journey of discovery within the hotel! Aren't those key cards surprisingly novel! On your return visit, be sure to checkout out a bicycle and take a ride through grounds or even downtown. I will let Marco know you gave him a "shout out" he'll be pleased to hear. We know you have... More
