While in Charlottesville for the UVa. graduation last weekend, we spent two night here. Everything was very, very nice! There have been recent upgrades and we were well pleased on the looks, feel and setting. Compared to some negative reviews, we had no noise or other problems. We were very, very happy! Plus the location is super. It all worked... more

This is in a great location in that it's close to UVA, but not too far of a walk to the downtown mall (15 minutes). I think for what it was, the hotel was overpriced. Free internet was great, but I would have a liked a free continental breakfast, which you can get at other hotels in the area for... more

This hotel will give you everything that you expect from a Courtyard Marriott. Clean, spacious rooms, efficient service, and absolutely no character. I stayed while attending a cousins wedding, and the hotel was neither added nor detracted from the long weekend. It is located near the UVA, and there are a couple of shops and cafes nearby so it is... more

I stayed at this hotel for an extended period of time and could not have been more excited to leave. When you first walk in, the hotel looks perfectly fine - the lobby is nice. However, the hotel has a strange smell (like an artificial perfume) and the rooms are no frills - no refrigerators and the air conditioning/heating units... more

After reading a barrage of bad reviews for several Charlottesville-area hotels including this one, we decided to flip a coin and picked the Courtyard Marriott. It turned out to be located very near the UVA campus (about half a mile to the center, less than that to the town/gown area, bars, etc.), and was clean and acceptable. We had a... more

I have stayed at this hotel several times over the past 2 years. For those who want to be walking distance to the University of Virginia, this is a great location! I have had 1 good stay at this hotel, but the rest of my stays have been bad. One time, I was given Room #201, which is right next... more

The staff at this hotel is excellent. They go the extra mile to make sure guests of the area understand what is around and how to get there! It has an excellent location across from the university and hospital and FREE parking! The pictures on the website are outdated, because they look much better in person. Only wish they had... more

We stayed at this property in June. While parked in their secure garage our gas was siphoned and we lost a full tank of fuel. Management would not even return our calls. We called no less then 10 times and never received a call back. The room had bed bugs in one of the beds. In summary a dump! more

This hotel is right across the street from UVA, which is great, but rooms are pricey and fill up quickly. We were overpowered by the smell of chlorine when we entered through the parking deck. Seriously, I wouldn't get in the pool for fear of a chemical burn. The hallway smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Checking in was a bit... more

This is not a Marriott. I can't beleive they can even put that name on the place. The rooms had the feel of a an OLD Holiday Inn. You might as well stay at the Super 8. I reserved a Spa Room for $189. What a joke. The jacuzzi was nice and it worked well. And, we received Rusk soap,... more
