Impeccably clean. Quiet. One of the very few B&B in town close to the downtown outside mall area in Charlottesville, and equally close to the University of Virginia. Very friendly and respectful hosts. Lovely breakfast. We stayed in the Dowell Master Suite with a king size bed and en suite bathroom.

We celebrated a very enjoyable first anniversary at the Tenth Street Bed and Breakfast and they treated us so well we couldn't have been happier!! Antoinette is so warm, sweet, accommodating and thoughtful and she left the most beautiful red roses and a fantastic bottle of wine in the room upon our arrival. Breakfast was generously large, beautifully presented, home-cooked... More

Taneia Dowell met my mom,Helen, and I at the door and announced, "We want you to make this your home away from home." Taneia and her step mom, Antoinette did just that. We were comfortable in a clean and refreshing environment. They gave us information about local places to eat and activities and served delicious breakfast. Loved it!

I was meeting some long time friends from NY and they suggested we try this Bed and Breakfast. Being a retired Colonel, US Army Nurse, I had never really thought about this type of lodging. What a delightful awakening to a pleasant, warm and friendly professional setting to stay when away from home. From our rooms to our meals and being... More

My girlfriend and I went to Charlottesville for a couples weekend. We could not have asked for a more pleasant experience. We truly found the Tenth Street Bed and Breakfast a home away from home. We received a perfect mix of polite engagement and respect for our privacy. We found the room clean, well equipped with all things we required,... More

We were met upon arrival by the very friendly owners of this B&B who instantly made us feel welcome. They are friendly and available but not overwhelming. The rooms are beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the towels luxurious. The breakfast was delicious. The only issue is the road they are on is very... More

This a fantastic bed and breakfast! The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hosts are both fantastic. We mostly dealt with Antoinette, she was very friendly. She made fantastic breakfast and nice conversation. Even for me, who does not typically like to talk to strangers, I felt right at home. If you are visiting Charlottesville, I highly recommend you stay... More

My daughter and I stayed here while on a college visit to UVA. This charming, yet unassuming exterior harbors a splendidly restored historic home within. The woodwork and decor was lovely and the place was immaculate. The neighborhood is a casual and friendly. We stayed 2 nights in the front room with 2 twin beds. We thought it would be... More

The friendly family running this b&b made me feel welcome from the time I contacted them to make my booking. Wallace, who picked me up at the airport, was happy to wait while I sorted out a problem with my luggage. The b&b was clean, comfortable and beautifully furnished, with a pleasant living room and kitchen available for guests' use.... More

My friend and I headed to Charlottesville for a girls' weekend. After researching other B&B's in the area, we chose this one because of its close proximity to the pedestrian mall. This was my friend's first time staying in a B&B and she was not disappointed. We appreciated the owners' individuality to managing a B&B, especially the flexibility with breakfast... More
