My boyfriend and I stayed at Inn at the Courtyard about a month ago, and we could not believe the way we were treated by the owner. Upon our arrival, he showed us our room, which was fine. However, we noticed that everything in the place creaked – from walking down the hall to sitting on the bed – it... more

We really enjoyed our stay at the Inn at the Crossroads. We were in town for a wedding south of Charlottesville and the location was perfect. It was close to Charlottesville, the skyline parkway and the wedding in Faber, VA. The inn keeper was fantastic and very accommodating. The breakfasts were delicious. We stayed in the Tavern Keepers Suite, which... more

My husband and I recently returned from a mid-week stay at the Inn. We were planning on a foliage site-seeing experience through the scenic Blue Ridge, but as our luck always has it, encountered the first (and continuous) rain that Virginia had seen in many weeks. That stated, our experience with innkeeper Jim Stern and the outstanding accommodations at The... more

We could stay at other places when we are in Charlottesville but we always come to The Inn at the Crossroads. This is a circa 1820's tavern/inn that Janet and Jim Stern have carefully maintained but with all the modern conveniences. There is nothing better than being on the porch sitting on the swing reading a good book and looking... more

My husband and I stayed at this Inn last weekend and were thoroughly pleased with our accommodations, food, and hosts. The decorative touches in our room nicely reflected the Inn's status as a historic landmark. Breakfast was well above the typical B & B fare. The innkeeper was welcoming and full of information about the area. We would definitely return... more

We were very disappointed with the Inn at Crossroads. We were referred to this inn by another inn that was completely booked during the week of our visit. The Inn at Crossroads is quite far from Charlottesville. The website address shows a PO Box address in Charlottesville but I believe the Inn is located in another town about 10 miles... more

We stayed two nights in the Inn. By the way, the Inn is not just 10 minutes from Monticello. It takes 10 minutes just to get to the interstate (about 9 miles from the Inn). Plan another 15 minutes for a total of 25 minutes to actually get to Monticello. They should list miles, not minutes, to give you a... more

I was so suprised to read the Worthington's review here on trip advisor. The first thing any guest that is unhappy with a small business needs to do is to say something to the owners. They are right there and are willing to help, if you say something, which the Worthington's did not do. Their review is so unfair I...

Just returned form a visit to the Charloettesville area, and had a wonderful stay at the Inn at the Crossroads. We arrived a little early, having come from New York, and really didn't expect our room to be ready, but Jim, the owner came out and greeted us and told us to get a cup of coffee down the road,... more

We just got back from Charlottesville and our stay at Inn at the Crossroads, and what a wonderful and relaxing place to spend the weekend. James the innkeeper is friendly, generous, knowledgable, kind. We stayed in their gorgeous 1820's stand alone cottage which overlooks the beautiful rolling green hills of Charlottesville, we had horses and cows in our view, and... more

Although the Inn at the Crossroads may not be as convenient to Charlottesville as some of the Inns/B&Bs in town, the quick drive (15 minutes) shouldn't dissuade travelers from staying there. We actually liked the easy route to Darden (take the North Campus connector off Rt 29 N), which would not have been as smooth from the downtown area. The... more
