Jim and his wife are wonderful. Our stay in the cottage was perfection. Comfortable, clean and authentic. Wonderful slice of history...great breakfast with a wonderful group of people. Location is convenient for a number of outings and close to Amtrak and downtown Charlottesville. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you for everything!!!!

Overall we had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend this if you are looking for something a bit different. From the inn you can walk to the Pippin Hill Farm winery which is next door. The restaurant there was really good and the wine was pretty nice too. Very beautiful views while you eat and drink. Across the road... More

We've stayed in a lot of Bed and Breakfasts from Maine to South Carolina. This was one of the best. Even though it's right off Rte. 29, it had the "off the beaten path" feel. Very quiet, relaxing, and the accommodations were great. Very friendly innkeepers. Delicious breakfasts.

This is a marvelous place to stay outside Charlottesville. We stayed in the Tavern Keeper's Suite this time where Theodore Roosevelt once slept. Franklin Roosevelt wrote a speech in the Tavern which was our bedroom. The Inn was built by Thomas Jefferson's nephew and it is assumed that Jefferson had visited the premises. The recipes for breakfast came/come from the... More

It was our 25th anniversary getaway so I was taking a bit of a risk on such a special occasion but this place exceeded our expectations from the moment we arrived. I reserved sight unseen but based on their website, the location and other reviews. When I called to inquire about a stay, it was the Innkeeper's (Jim) hospitality and... More

Spent one night at the Inn and just loved it - great place to go and relax. I just read another reader's review calling it a Half-Hearted Inn," and completely disagree with that comment. If you are really looking for a place with a TV, non-stop ice, etc then maybe a hotel would be a better choice for you. I... More

This is a very historic B&B just a few miles south of Charlottesville. We stayed in the Innkeepers suite which was the room the innkeepers family lived in and the original tavern room. Jim and Janet were very friendly and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome and answered any questions we had about the place.... More

just stayed at the Inn at the Crossroads in Charlottesville Va. The Inn was clean and comfortable. Check in time is at 4:00. We arrived a little early to a locked door. While waiting for the owner to return from work, we noticed the grounds were lacking some work and appeared to be in need of some TLC. Also, there... More

We wanted to get out of the city for my birthday weekend and decided to stay one night in Charlottesville. The Inn at Crossroads was the perfect place to tune out the world and just relax. We stayed in the Summer Kitchen Cottage. This space was not attached to the rest of the inn, so it allowed us to be... More

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. Jim and Janet were warm and welcoming (Jim even insisted on carrying our bags in!). The rooms are all lovely (I got to see all of them after others checked out). The bed was comfortable and we appreciated being able to adjust the thermostat in our room. Breakfast was delicious. It was a special occasion... More
