Lovely King bed room, quiet, and clean. Professional and friendly staff. Lovely grounds with ivy and trees. The dark roast coffee was delicious and the eggs were creamy. Take a seat by the window for breakfast in the lovely dining room.

My significant other and I stayed two nights during the Labor Day weekend. Initially, I booked for one night, but called several days in advance and was able to book a second night. The staff could not have been nicer on the phone. We were a late check-in Friday night. Craig was on duty. He was wonderful. We were treated... More

We are so thrilled to have found the English Inn! This is truly a unique hotel with a lot of quiet charm in gorgeous wooded setting, while still being conveniently located in C'Ville. My wife and I like (and need!) to travel on a budget, and this hotel met and far exceeded our expectations. It is a little older, In... More

The truth...Great customer service manager, Kathy. But the "not so true" term...High Tea? Not so. Dusty Room, unfortunately even after leaving gratuity for housekeeping and informing the other front desk clerk in the morning the room still had accumulated dust and dirt that was next to the bed. It was a great location for our needs but for the price... More

We just wanted to write a note to commend the English Inn of Charlottesville we had our wedding there 21 years ago and have been staying there ever since whenever we visit Charlottesville at least 2 to 3 times per year. We love it there and we enjoy the rooms, all different ones as well as the breakfast every morning.... More

This was my first visit to this hotel in Charlottesville. I do like to try places that are non-chains so I was excited to stay here especially since it was a little cheaper than other chains offered. It also looked really nice from the website. However..... Problems arose from the moment our party tried to check in. Our friend who... More

I was in town as a patient at the University of Virginia medical center and also sight seeing while there, with 4 family members. This hotel was wonderful!!! Lyndsay, at the front desk was phenomenal and spoiled my kids. Our last day we overslept so she packed us all a breakfast including 2 beverages,to take with us! They offered me... More

A last minute need for two rooms for the night, lead us to the English Inn . . . apparently the only place in town with two rooms left! The lobby reminds of, well, an English Inn! The manual check in and check out and the huffing, puffing wall mounted A/C was a throw back to the 80's (70's?) as... More

We were in the Manor house. it was a suite with the living room, kitchen, bathroom and king size bedroom. The last independent hotel in c'ville, they say. We loved our stay, special shout out to Stacey and Lloyd, who made the best breakfasts ever. Say goodbye to continental breakfasts, hello to homemade pancakes and French toast.
