We had a marvelous stay at Prospect Hill to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our room (former slaves' quarters) was quaint and comfy. The fireplace was stacked and ready to go and there was fruit and wine waiting for us. The staff was attentive and gracious without being instrusive. We enjoyed meeting other guests during the wine reception, and dinner was... more

Their website is honest - I was afraid it was too well done and that the place wouldn't be so nice, but it's a beautiful, quiet setting. The rooms are nice, the pool refreshing, and the breakfast was really tasty. I think it's too expensive, but you can skip their $100 dinner and just get the cheapest room fro $200... more

I had the worst b&b experience of my life at Prospect Hill. The surroundings are flat and ugly. The innkeeper was rude to me and my family. Just about everything about the place is awful. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Inn at Monticello or somewhere off of skyline drive. more
