We spent the night here before visiting Monticello. The room was very clean, service was good, breakfast was better than some we have encountered. I felt the price was very good for the area at least for one night's stay. More

We stayed here because it was the only hotel we could find during the Hurricane. We had been evacuated from the coast paid $155 for one night. Considering that the Hilton we stayed at the next night was cheaper, this price is outrageous. The room was clean but extremely budget level. The bathroom was basic and it took two of... More

My wife and I were trying to play "guess the age of the motel" when we arrived (not sure, probably late '60s). Looks like is was an original Holiday Inn, and still maintains that vibe today, with rooms opening to the outside. The current owners have spent SOME money on the property, so it's not awful, but there's really no... More

We were just passing through Charlottesville and got a good deal on the Choice Hotels website. Nothing to complain about. The room was nothing fancy, but everything worked fine, including the wi-fi. Breakfast was actually pretty good as these hotel buffets go. The location is not attractive -- hotel is wedged in between two other hotels and a highway --... More

Me and partner enjoyed our stay. We loved the breakfast bar. We were surprised to see a continental breakfast for the price we paid. We went through choice hotels and got a better deal. Staff was also very good, helped us to take printouts from their office. More

Save your money and go somewhere else. This is a motel that is under new management and it shows. The room was dirty (carpets in need of cleaning, bathroom with stains on the ceiling and walls, dirty tub, dirty sink, dust everywhere). Can't comment on the service, as we didn't call on anyone. Bottom line is this place is a... More

My husband was working for the power plant there, and got a really decent rate, but the service is horrible. He was there for 4-5 weeks, and every single week, they double charged him, tying up his account so much that he was stuck living off hot dogs out of his microwave in the hotel room. The elevator does not... More

After having read several disparaging reviews about this place, I arrived with very low expectations. As part of a large group, the rooms had been booked for us. The exterior of the hotel was clean, nothing flashy. The front desk clerk was very helpful & well-mannered. I was extremely surprised by the newly renovated rooms; they were simply yet tastefully... While the location is right off the interstate and convenient to public transit, it would not be a pleasant walk to downtown. The building itself is one of those old fashioned motel with each room having its own exterior door. We stayed on the first floor which was below the parking lot so to get into the room from the... We were moved from the Days Inn to the Quality Inn after trying to find a true non-smoking room (all smelled like smoke) & even seeing a room whose door wouldn't shut! Anyway we were moved to the Quality Inn & our room didn't smell like smoke. That's the only good thing I can say about it. The air conditioner... More
