I found this Hampton to be above average. The front desk staff was courteous and helpful throughout my stay. The room was clean and well decorated. The only negative I experienced is this hotel is "hidden" from the main road and is easy to drive past. The hotel is located in the main shopping district for Charlottesville but not within... more

The checkin was the start of a very nice stay. The staff was friendly, helpful and promt and were quick to offer directions. There was a call from the manager to make sure all was to our liking shortly after checkin, a touch that can make the difference. The room was clean and adequate size, we stayed one night in... more

I stayed in this Hampton Inn for two nights in the middle of March. The room was surprisingly large and the bathroom was rather nice (if not a little small). The shower was pretty big though, especially compared to the size of the bathroom. I didn't blacklight the room or anything, but there was absolutely nothing I would call less... more

I stayed in the Hampton Inn for one night, and was impressed with the extreme cleanliness of the facility, and the friendly staff. The lobby and grounds are neat, and the parking is adequate for the rooms; I had no difficulty obtaining a good space, in a full lot. The room smelled and looked clean as soon as I opened... more

We recently stayed at this hotel for 1 night over the weekend. It was nice as decribed by many others on here. I do not dare stay anywhere unless I check the tripadvisor reviews first. The bed was comfortable- Just as comfortable as other very expensive hotels that I have stayed at before. There was a nice sitting area in... more

We stayed here for one night and found the property slightly disappointing compared to other Hampton Inns we've stayed at. Recent reviews indicate that a process of refurbishment is under way but the room we stayed in during our September visit was looking a little tired. The overall standard of cleanliness was not as good as other Hamptons we've stayed... more

We've been staying at this hotel for years whenever we come to town, mostly for football games. We tried several others, but this one is the best overall, particularly after it was completely renovated a few years ago. On top of that, they renovated the rooms again this past year, and they are great. Very nice, very convenient, very friendly.... more

My wife and I usually try to stay at Hampton Inns, but the Hampton Inn Charlottesville was by far the best one we have ever stayed in! The entire staff was incredibly friendly and concerned about providing outstanding service. The room was clean, very comfortable and very nicely decorated/appointed. The breakfast bar and food selections were great from presentation to... more

My wife and I stayed here earlier this month. We booked a non-smoking room with king bed. Check - in was effortless, the desk clerk was very friendly. The room was very clean though the bathroom seemed a little smaller then usual. The hotel is conveniently located, a short ride to the university and historic sites. There are a few... more

This hotel is EXCELLENT!!! My family just finished a whirlwind "vacation" where we stayed at three separate hotels. I, personally, have stayed at over 100 hotels during the last ten years (easily) and this is one of the best for the money. We paid $115 a night and the rooms were GREAT!!! Ultra-clean (walking aorund with white socks no problem),... more
