I've traveled extensively for years but have never had a nicer welcome than at the Inn at Court Square. Arriving after a rough day, I was treated with kindness and warm hospitality. The rooms are beautiful, the sheets wonderfully soft, the bath amenities top-notch. Combined with the hospitality of the innkeeper and the delicious breakfast, I can't wait to come... More

Highly recommended to me by a friend who lives in Charlottesville, The Inn at Court Square surpassed my expectations. My 80-ish parents and I had two rooms for one evening on a visit to Charlottesville and Thomas Jefferson's Monticello. The beautifully restored historic home was tastefully appointed, featuring cozy, welcoming common areas and truly lovely bedrooms. High ceilings, gorgeous antiques... More

Charming B&B, very well decorated. Complimentary glass of wine in the room's sitting area was a welcome treat at the end of the day. Staff seemed new on the job and not therefore very well informed, but were certainly enthusiastic.

My husband and I stayed at the Inn at Court Square in March 2014. We called last-minute (two days prior) to find a reservation for a single night. We were fortunate enough to stay in the Opie Norris room, which was exceptional. I loved the character of the house. I found that having the individual keys for the house made... More

This beautifully decorated historical inn is located just two short blocks from Charlottesville's downtown pedestrian mall. Arriving after an awful drive in DC traffic and torrential rain, we were late and tired and hungry. Keith and Candace's mom immediately put us at ease with their welcoming introductions and wine. Throughout the weekend, we were consistently pleased with the helpfulness -... More

The inn is composed of three buildings overlooking the court square. The buildings were built in the late 1700's. We stayed in the Ellis suite, which consists of a lovely sitting room, a bedroom with king bed, and a bath with spa tub. The owner of the inn has done an amazing job keeping the character of the building while... More

My boyfriend and I were looking for a romantic getaway prior to his upcoming deployment, and figured Charlottesville would be a nice escape. The rooms at the Inn are beautiful and the location itself is very convenient; however, our stay was less than desireable. The staff left much to be desired in the "friendly" department, and the rooms do not... More

This historic B&B is across from the historic court house lawn. Candace and her staff are very welcoming and accommodating. I had the small room across from the dining area, where I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast each day. The inn is within walking distance to the outdoor mall area which has many stores, stands and restaurants and the Saturday morning... More

We were so happy we stayed at this Inn. I love the historic aspect of the place. It was beautifully restored. As I recall, it was built in the 1700s and is one of the oldest buildings in town. The place is sumptuously decorated. (I personally would have preferred design exclusively from the 1700s, but it's hard to argue with... More

We recently took a trip to Charlottesville to see Monticello. We wanted to stay somewhere historic that wouldn't break the bank. The Inn at Court Square fit the bill perfectly. It is the oldest existing house in the downtown area, within walking distance to the pedestrian mall (lots of cute shops and restaurants, a farmers market and theaters). Candace (owner),... More
