I went to Charlottesville to visit Monticello last month and chose to stay at the Inn at Court Square. I booked the John Kelly room. The Inn is beautifully decorated, and my room was large and SO cozy, with a fireplace that worked. It was the perfect place to spend a fall weekend and visit Jefferson's Monticello and the lovely... This B&B should be rated #1. My husband and I visit Charlotesville once a year and would stay no where else. We have visited other B&B's on this list, and find that they can't compare. The location is feet away from the mile long walking mall and restaurants. It is owned by an exceptionally talented interior designer and as a... More

We have stayed here for several years for the VA film festival. Great location in that it is literally steps from the Charlottesville Pedestrian Mall (which is littered with great restaurants and shops). We have rooms and suites. The staff is warm, offering to make a snack, and accommodating vegans and vegetarians. Every day a delicious quiche is offered, along... More

We were here for two nights. Everyone was very helpful. Breakfasts were hot, custom made and very good. It is three blocks from the tourist office (very helpful with maps and information) and two blocks from the Mall (the main street) which has restaurants and shops. The owner gave restaurant suggestions for dinner. This next comment is important: It is... More

Was in Charlottesville for one night and wanted to stay somewhere unique. The Inn at Court Square was exactly what we were looking for. This beautiful house was restored back to it original glory with antiques abound. (Note I am not an antiques person by any means but it just fit the ambiance of the area.) The staff were marvelous.... More

Cluttered, but clean. Owner friendly & helpful, but we were disappointed in the value. $80 more than the inn the night before in Lexington for smaller room & fewer amenities. None of the extras I have enjoyed in other B&B such as evening cheese/wine reception. Breakfast portions were "sample" sizes.

Passing through Charlottesville, we were happy we found this little gem of a B&B. It is a restored historic house beautifully appointed with period antiques located just two blocks from the pleasant pedestrian mall located in the downtown historic district. There are numerous al fresco dining options just steps from the door. The University is a 15 minute walk or... More

This was our third stay at the Inn at Court Square - need I say more? The grand old house, decor, staff, and the location keep pulling us back. This time we stayed in the Stonewall Jackson room, a bright, tastefully decorated room with a four-poster king bed on the second floor in the front of the house overlooking the... More

The owner is professional, kind, and provided us a free upgrade once arrived. The location could not be better--a few minutes walk from the historic mall but just far enough away to ensure a peaceful night's sleep. Beautiful room, bed, and coffee in to-go cups as we left that morning. She thinks of everything!

My wife and I spent a minimoon there the weekend after our wedding in late spring. The service was immaculate, the rooms were extremely clean. We were given a complimentary upgrade upon arrival, which set a wonderful tone for the rest of our stay. It's affordable, it's in a very quiet part of town and yet very close to the... More
