Had a very good experience with the Omni. As other reviewers have said, convenient location on the downtown mall is a plus. We stayed for 3 nights and walked to dinner every night (5 minutes or less). Join the loyalty program as you can recieive not only free drinks in the morning, but newspaper, 2 free pressings, free shoe shine... more

A beautiful airy atrium greeted us when we walked into the lobby. Omni's guest services were friendly and helpful upon check in. Chic rooms with modern luxury decor. Bed full of pillows...different types (feather and foam) to choose from! Since I'm allergic to feathers, I appreciated having the option. My husband always asks for extra pillows, no need to, there... more

Booked the Omni Charlottesville for a family wedding over Memorial Day weekend. They have just completed a renovation of the rooms, and me and my wife were upgraded for free to a king suite when they found out that we were also celebrating our own 10-year anniversary. The room was fantastice, with a wrap around sofa and a 50-inch TV... more

First let me say the Omni is in a great location with easy walking to the downtown open air mall and it is an upscale hotel. However because it is an upscale hotel I have to give it a poor rating. My colleague's room had a very unpleasant musky smell and their billing seemed very dishonest. We had service charges... more

In past years, I'd arranged in advance for a large room with a space to meet with clients, but this time took a chance. If they didn't accommodate me at check-in, worse that could happen is talking business over cocktails in the lobby atrium. I asked the desk clerk at check-in if they would give me a free upgrade is... more

Was expecting better from Omni. Was charged for internet without prior notification. Room smelled musty. I could hear my neighbors and I was already in a "quiet" room. Bathroom was exceptionally small! more

My sister and I stayed at the Omni for a long weekend in March. The rooms are beautiful. They were recently remodeled in beautiful warm and pleasing colors. The bed and linens are sooo comfortable. I always bring my own pillow but it found it was not necessary. There was an assortment of pillow types. Next time I visit the... more

What a pleasant surprise. We were treated extremely well during our one night stay at the Omni. We definitely recommend it for a trip to Charlottesville in the outlying areas. The staff is professional and yet very friendly. The hotel is convenient to the Downtown Mall and all of its appealing restaurants and shops. The location is not too far... more

We stayed at the Omni Charlottesville for nearly two weeks at the end of the summer. Despite being there a long time, we were sad to go. As many reviews have said, the location is the best in Charlottesville. You get free parking in a garage downtown, and that is worth a lot itself. It should be noted, though, that... more
