My wife and I stayed in the Holiday Inn in Charlottesville, VA during a visit to see our son at UVA. The rooms are nicely appointed however they are not sound-proof. The first night we noticed that we could hear the TV, radio, and regular speech/talking of our next store neighbors. On the second night we were awakened at 1:00... More

This is the second time I stayed at this hotel within 2 months. Staff was friendly, the room was very clean, and since our rooms faced the back of the hotel they were also quiet - I agree the AC is a bit noisy, but it's constant, so it does the job. Free coffee and newspapers are nice on the... More

Always clean and staff is always helpful, plenty of parking which is a must in charlottesville, hotels near hospital tend to run out of parking. We have stayed here 3 times while my daughter has had surgery, it has been quiet, very clean, comfy beds, and very nice staff.

We paid $89 plus about $10 tax per night for Friday and Saturday nights in mid-August 2007. Our top floor room was large and clean. The air conditioning was noisy, but it did the job. The hallway was hot, however. We never even looked into the dining room. The small front desk staff helped us out with free transportation in... More

You will be fine staying here if you are expecting your typical Holiday Inn. It was clean and the staff helpful.

We stayed overnight at this hotel and found the rooms to be very nice. The bed was comfortable with many pillows (which I like) and a white fluffy comfortor. The room looked new, I'm assuming they have remodeled because the hotel is not new. The only draw back was that we had a room facing Hwy 29 and the noise... More

The Holiday Inn Charlottesville was a very afforadable, comfortable, clean and enjoyable place to stay. My family and I spent three nights there. The staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel and it's surroundings were well cared for and updated. The restaurant, Damons, was very good. The hotel is also very convenient to UVA, which was a huge plus for... More

We arrived to find our room directly next to the pool entrance and across from housekeeping.. We entered the room to find the rugs wet, the microwave oven not working, stains on the chairs and one chair broken. We immediately attempted to change our room but unfortunately the hotel was filled up. We knew we would have to tolerate the... More

We stayed there for a UVa. event. Room was spacious and clean, and everything worked well, except the air conditioning blew so hard I felt like I was in a gale. I had to build a chair and pillow dam so I could sleep the second night. Paper products and shampoo/soap were cheap. Halls and common areas looked tired and... More
