Coming from the DC area, the location of this hotel is marginal - close to Rt 64 but not to Rt 29. You have to drive through the town to the other side to get there. My biggest complaint is that the entrance from the road and the parking lot are very very dark - they need to add signage... More

Large clean king rooms. Good service. We were given $10 toward breakfast for belonging to the rewards program. We usually try to stay where breakfast is included, but this breakfast was al carte, well priced and worth paying a few dollars more for compared to the usual "free" tasteless buffet others serve up. Close to Monticello and UVA.

After our daughter moved south of I64, we discovered that there are many fewer hotel choices on that side of town. The Holiday Inn is conveniently located right off the highway and provided a clean and comfortable room. The Waffle House just up the street provides a great option for breakfast.

We decided to stay here because of its close location to Monticello, but unfortunately, its convenience to the tourist attractions are the only good thing I can say about the place. We did not receive either the first floor room we had requested or any upgrade. The room was small and the bathroom was tiny. There was no towel bar... More

Planned a Charlottesville bachelorette party and booked 2 rooms here for one night. To be honest, we weren't in the hotel much. It was nice enough but could definitely use some updating in the rooms and bathrooms. And the elevator is sketch, super old, took forever to come to your floor, and about a million degrees inside. One time we... More

Our prime reason for visiting Charlottesville was a trip to Monticello and we chose this hotel for its nearby location. While this hotel was not around during Thomas Jefferson's presidency, based on the exterior I'm guessing it's at least as old as the Nixon administration. A step into the lobby revealed a more modern interior, however the dust and dirt... More

Stayed here as during a collectors event and found it to be very nice. It is an older hotel but has been nicely upgraded. The rooms are clean and have modern amenities. The staff was courteous and accommodating to my needs. All in all, a nice surprise and a pleasant stay.

The hotel is a little older, but has been updated. Cleanliness on a scale of 1-10 is probably a 7-8 in the room, but the lobby, restuarant, and pool all seemed to be pretty clean and well-maintained. Has an on-site restuarant, with room service, so that's a plus. This is very easy to get to from the Interstate, and is... More

This hotel is OK - near the highway but a few miles from the downtown area, which, depending on your point of view is either a good or bad thing! Stayed one night - no problems at all.

Right off highway clean rooms near pedestrian mall with lots of great restaurants and shops. Stopped here on road trip back to ct.pet friendly too.
