One of the worst hovels I have ever stayed in. Unfortunately with it being graduation weekend we didn't have another option. The beds were ancient, the bedding foul, the bathrooms were dirty and old. The room was disgustingly smelly. DO NOT STAY HERE!! more

Where to begin. The room should have scared me away when, upon entering, the decor was notably a wall of mirror as if it could easily have been an adult movie set. I actually felt compelled to check for hidden cameras. The water basin was lined with hairs from a prior occupant who shaved, the towels had suspicious and conspicuous... more

I'm the friend with the bug on her face in the middle of the night. I booked the room without checking reviews first. Never again. I didn't want to walk on the carpet barefoot. The room smelled so bad it woke me up at 2 am...or was that the bug on my face? The Charlottesville Health Dept. was called, inspected... more

Quick overnight trip to pick up a friend's daughter from UVA... No remote control for TV, room smelled like urine or something. Other guests wandering up and down looking like members of a Columbian drug cartel. Roomate awoke at 2 am with some kind of bug walking around on her FACE and I came back to Norfolk with several swelling... more

This was the only reasonably priced hotel available when I visited C-Ville... First, the good: Located across from J Paul Jones Arena if that's what you are here for, Bed was comfortable enough, Good Chinese restaurant next door, fridge and microwave in room, Tiffany at the front desk was pleasant. The Bad: Located across from J Paul Jones Arena (If... more

FILTHY!!! My sister had to move from her room to another room because of the mildew odor. The room we stayed in also smelled. Other Problems: We got dirty feet/socks from walking on the floor. There curtain rod was broken away from the wall. There were toenails clippings and large screws between the nightstand and bed. There were large bugs... more

My son and I just returned from a UVA college visit and wanted something close to the university that was fairly inexpensive. The smell of Febreeze knocked you down when you opened the door, masking no telling what. I wouldn't walk on the carpet in sock feet and thank goodness I brought my own pillow. The breakfast consisted of a... more

I stayed at this motel in mid-February. I booked over the web and was quoted a price. When I checked in at the hotel, I discovered they had several unexpected and inappropriate add-ons to my room charge. Bill included an extra dollar for a safe I never used and another dollar for some manager fee, which was totally inappropriate since... more

I was a Charlottesville resident for five years & recently came back to visit, staying at this EconoLodge. It was TERRIBLE. We wound up checking out early and the manager would not even refund us for the night we didn't stay. There was plaster falling off the walls, there was no breakfast as promised, the ice machine didn't work, items... more
