A dump -- stay away!! front desk unhelpful and unpleasant; they also often don't answer the phone. bedding was stained, carpet wasn't clean. rooms and baths are old with bad furnishings and in desperate need of renovation. rates are very high for what you get. more

Stayed in room 218 in mid-October. BED BUGS! Didn't know what it was when I awoke in the middle of the night. Saw a single spot of blood on the sheet. Then discovered bugs when I moved the pillow. When I smashed them with the small tablet of paper that I found next to the bed they burst. More blood!... more

1. The tub was dirty. Room not regularly cleaned. Lots of dust on the heating controls. 2. The floors creak so very noisy when the people above you walk. 3. Plumbing noisy so you are awakened when those in rooms near you get up. 4. Sheets on the double beds are twin flat sheets so the bottom sheet comes off.... more

We walked into the location. The night manager seemed a bit odd. He quoted us the price of $79.00 which for an area that has $100+ . We were willing to tolerate a bit less of a place. If we hadn't felt they were liars about the cable/TV issues, I'd rate the place a 3. But, needless to say the... more

Booked room 3 months in advance at $99.99 for one night. Calledfrom highway to get directions and the desk worker could not give correct directions. When we arrived at 2am, the woman behind the desk said "We've been waiting for you," but more with a tone of "I've been waiting for you to get here so I can go to... more

I didn't even stay the night. The front desk clerk and owner started joking around with me when I checked in, which was fine, but then the jokes started getting sleazy, and then ended with them telling me to "get in the kitchen and start cooking them some steaks". I stayed about 2 hours and then left, I felt so... more

We stayed at this hotel while Camp Jeep was going on. There was no toilet paper on the roll, and no extra roll. The manager said that there policy was not to leave an extra roll because housekeeping stole them at the end of their shift. They will only give you 2 towels, even if you have 4 people staying... more

My wife and daughter had an event in Charlottesville that required them staying over Saturday night. This was the only thing available under $200, and the reviews here made it sound passable. I got a call from my wife that Saturday. They were sitting in the parking lot of this hotel, and didn't want to get out of the car.... more

I would never expect much out of an Econo Lodge or motels of this ilk and it met my expectations . . . in a good way. It seemed as though the entire town of Charlottesville was booked up this weekend and I had a choice of this Econo Lodge and a Days Inn. I read many bad reviews regarding... more

First, there are multiple EconoLodges in Charlottesville. EconoLodge North is specifically the one on Holiday Rd., just off Emmett St N. August 29, 2005. Room 210. A perfectly serviceable representative of the chain. No pool. Cable TV. Phone. Large room. Large double bed with end table on each side. Nice work table and chair. Plenty of lighting. Bathroom has tub/shower... more
