We stayed for 2 nights in September and loved it here. The Inn is a 2 minute walk from lots of fab restaurants and bars but you can't hear any noise from them. Other than the train rumbling through the back of the Inn in the night there is no noise at all. The train is loud and made the... More

Charming, great location, big porch perfect for gathering. Close to everything and every type of restaurant. Parks with playgrounds for kids close by. Several art museums, coffee shops, boutiques, almost everything to enhance your stay.

I stayed here for a wedding after the initial hotel block was fully booked at a nearby Charlottesville hotel. I was excited to try out a charming bed and breakfast instead of a standard hotel room. I first looked online to just book Saturday night but the policy stated the weekend I wanted was a two-night minimum. So I called... More

I stayed only for one night, but would recommend. It's an old property, so the floors creak and you can hear when your neighbours come home. I stayed in Room 11 up on the top floor; large room with very comfortable king bed and a nice (not luxurious but functional and clean) bathroom. The wine and cheese in the afternoon... More

Great house with friendly staff and very clean. Neat story behind the home, and feels as if you have stepped back in time staying there. Food is delish, as well as the nice wine and cheese afternoon snack. Always homemade chocolate chip cookies at the desk. : ) We stayed in room 11, which is the blue attic room, it... More

With a location right off the Downtown Mall, 200 South Street Inn should be great. Instead it's wipe-your-feet-as-you-get-into-bed dirty, the furniture is cheap and flimsy, and the rooms are dusty and stale. Our bed didn't even have a fitted sheet - just a flat sheet that stopped a foot before the mattress did! It's also incredibly loud - located right... More

When booking my stay for the weekend, it was necessary to book two different rooms. As we were involved in a wedding, they prepared my second room early and I was able to move into it at 12:00 noon to change for the wedding. The continental breakfast w/granolas, muffins, and fruit was quite good. The chocolate/chocolate cookies went fast one... More

I stayed in Room #6 which is absolutely beautiful - very spacious with a four-poster bed, fire place, etc - everything one could hope for in a Southern inn! The continental breakfast was delicious, and having cookies and fruit available 24/7 was a lovely touch. The reason for my title re their excellent customer service is because I was originally... you check in with the smell of baking cookies and fresh cookies RIGHT THERE. Nicely restored terrific old four-square house with some other rooms in the "cottage." Everything as it should be plus the cookies, cheese and wine in the cocktail hour, and a v. nice breakfast. Our second stay was just one night; the first was two nights. It... More

We've stayed here twice and would be going back except it's full when we plan to return. It's an old house with creaky floors but everything works as well as a new hotel and there's plenty of privacy. It's 2 short blocks from the mall and their shops, bars and restaurants. It's not walking distance to the campus but I... More
