My room was clean and stylish. The inn has a great location near the downtown pedestrian mall. They serve a wonderful breakfast. I spoke with a number of other guests at the wine and cheese reception and at breakfast, and the people were all a pleasure. This place is a winner!

Great hospitality at this charming B&B. Loved the fresh-baked goods, ample porch space, and location. Our room (Room 12) was spacious and clean, although lacking in any closet space whatsoever (the linen cabinet did not have a hanging rack). Large flat screen was wall-mounted with premium cable. Good water pressure.

We just spent a few wonderful days in Charlottesville and were lucky to find this Inn. It is located within walking distance of everything we wanted -- history, restaurants, open market, shopping...yet it has the feel of a home. The breakfast was all healthy, fresh and home baked, the rooms were clean, charming and spacious and the staff was cheerful... More

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend as part of a gift we had received. The staff was super friendly. The light breakfast was deliciously homemade. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The happy hour on Friday and Saturday night was a nice treat. We enjoyed out wine and cheese in the deck while people watching and playing... More

Love this inn. Enjoy the rooms with a fireplace. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Wonderful assortment of baked goods and fruit for breakfast, and cookies are available all the time. Location is perfect - short walk to many shops and great restaurants. As noted in other reviews, there are train tracks, but the sound has never been a problem for... More

If you are coming to Charlottesville, this is the place to stay. It's away from the University but very close to shopping and dining. As most reviews note, there is a train track right behind the Inn but it's not an issue. Travelers just need to expect the sound and vibrations that accompany the train once in the evening. The... It was a real treat staying two blocks from historic downtown Charlottesville, in a very charming house with a railroad track just behind it. Although the train was kind of noisy, it was fun to watch it pass by during the day. Luckily, it only passed once during the night. Home-baked goods were great, and staff were very friendly and... My fiancé and I come to 200 South Street whenever we want a weekend away for ourselves, and we like the place so much that we actually got engaged in the main house! The staff is always friendly, the clients are always very nice, and we couldn't ask more from the rooms no matter if we stay in the cottage... More

We were passing through this town during the snow storm 2014; it was so bad we needed a place to stay. All hotels were full and this Inn was last on the list. We were so very pleased it was. Liz was the best. She welcomed us as if we were family. Told us not to be in any hurry... More

We will absolutely be back. The inn is nestled in downtown Charlottesville, walking distance to all the wonderful shops, restaurants, spas and fun the mall has to offer. Close to campus, we made this our overnight stay before an early morning UVA Swimming and Diving meet. We were greeted by welcoming staff, there were fresh cookies and fruit out at... More
