My husband and I wanted to get away for our anniversary. It was kind of short notice (less than 2 weeks) so I started looking for a B&B close to Roanoke, but just far enough away to make it a trip. I came across Miss Emily's B&B. They had a mini-getaway package that sounded just perfect for us. I called... More

This is what you dream a bed and breakfast would be like. After a long day riding our motorcycles across the state in the rain, Miss Emily's was a great surprise. Necia and Brian were not expecting four soggy riders, but helped us get out of our rain gear and relax with some homemade cookie and tea. What a way... More

Beautiful restored home, tastefully decorated. Host and Hostess very warm and friendly, interesting to converse with, very eager to serve. The food was delicious and lovingly prepared and enticingly served. The atmosphere was peaceful and comforting. Only drawback was our inability to stay longer!! More

My wife and I are expecting our second child in a few months and decided to have one last weekend away while we still had the chance. We could not have dreamed up an experience better than the one we had at Miss Emily's. Ultra-accommodating, Brian and Necia made sure we had a relaxing, carefree stay filled with beautiful sounds,... We visited Miss Emily's over the 4th of July weekend to celebrate my husband's birthday. Necia and Brian prepared a special "English" dinner for my husband who is an English ex-pat. It far surpassed any of our expectations as it was amazing from start to finish. The balcony room was so comfortable with a lovely turn down service and water,... More

What a great weekend. From the accomodations to the food to the conversations, what a great weekend. My husband and I spent a weekend just enjoying the countryside, watching the birds, tasting great food. The ambiance was great for a anniversary weekend. Will recommend to everyone! More

My husband and I stayed at Miss Emily's in the balcony room over Memorial Day weekend. We're in our 30s, and this was our first B&B. The owners, Brian and Necia, were so friendly, it felt like we were visiting family. Necia's cooking was delicious -- we enjoyed the multi-course breakfasts and enjoyed a simply fantastic romantic dinner for the... More

You can't go wrong making the trip to Charlotte Court House. We shopped Green Front Furniture in Farmville, then drove out to Miss Emily's for a fantastic dinner prepared by the O'Neills, which made for a great end of the day. The house and balcony room are very comfortable and the full English breakfast was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our... More
