My husband and I stayed here for my cousins wedding that was being held across the way at Westover Plantation. I can't imagine having a better time at a B&B! Dot and Julian really make you feel at home and are just wonderful host. I loved the grounds, and our son who is three was in love with the little... More

My boyfriend and I went here for a haunted tour. The tour over exceeded our expectations. We were overwhelmed with the best southern hospitality, and she provided us with wine and cheese which was included in the price. The home is absolutely filled with history and me being a history buff I was completely intrigued and was so excited to... More

We wanted to ride the newly opened section of the Virginia Capital Trail bike path from Herring Creek to the courthouse in Charles City County, so we decided to make a weekend of it - find a nice place to stay, ride for a while, stop and have lunch (and hydrate - very important in Virginia during the summer)! Fortunately,... More

Nice tranquility; peaceful escape. Great breakfast and very friendly and accommodating proprietors !!! The owners know the area well and were instrumental in helping me attain my sightseeing goals. Perfectly situated between Williamsburg and Richmond.

This was our first experience in a bed and breakfast and WoW!!! Dot and Julien were absolutely the perfect example of hospitality. I felt as welcomed by them as if we were long time friends and family. The breakfasts were delicious and for me enhanced by the use of beautiful vintage china. We stayed in the suite located in the... More

"I can say whole heartedly, this is the best bed and breakfast stay I have ever had. Every detail has been seen to by Dot and Julian. The entire home's historic detail and content will have a history buff in heaven.  The inside, exquisite. The property it sits on is grand, romantic, secluded and leaves you feeling like you've been... More

My husband and I spent our first ever B & B experiance with Dot and Julien and truely enjoyed ourselves. We both love history and I love antiques so this setting was perfect. We stayed in Lizzie's room and if it was as comfortable then as it is now I can see why she would hang around all these years.... More

My husband and I spent Saturday night in Lizzie's Room, which was spacious, beautiful and very clean. The owners Dot and Julien have restored and appointed the house beautifully in period decor. When we arrived Dot made sure we were comfortable with a glass of wine for our evening swim in their large pool. In the morning we had a... More

My husband and I had charming encounter at Edgewood Plantation. No, we didn't get woken by ghosts; we had the opportunity to meet owners Dot and Julien and experience what life could have been in a modest 7000 sq ft 4 story home with 10 fireplaces and slave quarters. Dot is very gracious and entertaining. We had lots of laughs... More

Our Memorial Day weekend couldnt have been spent in a more unique and heartwarming place. This was the most wonderful Bed and Breakfast I have ever stayed at. The hostess, Dot was so charming and friendly. She made the stay even better. You feel like you have known her forever and have made a friend forever. She is wonderful..
