This is a special place, and deserves a long visit. The building is an old residence, but looks like a European castle. I recommend you start with a drink in bar/tavern. In cold weather, there will be a fire in the huge stone fireplace. The drinks a very reasonably priced for a high end place like the Springs, so have... More

This was such a beautiful retreat for my birthday. It was so romantic. They dinner was amazing. The staff in the bar so accommodating. Built us a fire even though we were the only ones in the bar. Very nice. Beautiful room. We loved it.

My daughter and I had a wonderful, special overnight at this stunning Inn. Besides two perfect massages at the Spa, we enjoyed an excellent dinner at the Manor House of Poplar Springs. Polly Cutting, the Inn manager, could NOT be nicer. Continental Breakfast is served in the Inn's lovely living room. Nanci, our waitress at dinner, was especially delightful. My... More

Poplar Springs Inn and Spa provides fantastic customer service with their spa packages and hotel accommodations. Both the spa and hotel room had soft terry cloth robes (not those heavy bulky robes at other resorts), and comfortable YeahBaby spa sandals in the locker room and hotel closet (sized for both men and women). Our room had a large shower with... More

So for Valentine's Weekend we decided we wanted to do something different. We were referred to Poplar Springs from someone who used to go before the new owners took over. We did the entire experience at Poplar Springs. 1. We did the Spa Package, Starting at $399 This deal was not given due to the Holiday weekend, but they were... More

My hubby and I celebrated Valentine's day at Poplar Springs. We loved that is was a quick getaway from the city and appeared to be a very charming and quiet location. The buildings were lovely and the service was great. The inn also provided a complimentary horse drawn carriage to the restaurant. Such a nice surprise! That said, there were... More

We were so sad when they closed but happy when they reopened. We decided we would wait a number of months to get the bugs out. We think it's better then before, the staff was ultra attentive, the kitchen is better then under the previous management and the spa was wonderful. So stop reading this and go delve into the... I highly recommend experiencing Poplar Springs Inn & Spa and The Manor House restaurant. I bought a night away as a Christmas gift for my husband and we had the best time. Words will never fully describe the incredible food and service we received. Upon our arrival, Joe was wonderfully welcoming and the evening wine and cheese perfect. We then... More

I love this place. It's quiet, adult, comfortable, secluded, with a nice spa and a wonderful gourmet restaurant. There is an outdoor pool in warm weather, and a hot tub. There is no sit down breakfast, but they provide yogurt, coffee, etc to your room. There is no lunch on site, though dinner is well worth the cost, nearby towns... More

I recently stayed one night on a weekday. This was my fourth visit, but first time under the new owner and management. Management was very nice and accommodating, as was the spa manager. I like some of the changes made, and not so much of other changes. The good: More opportunity to get a light meal via the spa pool... More
