I made a reservation a week in advance and they assured me a room would be available. I arrived very tired and late with a family member and they were extremely accommodating. We had been in the car for almost a day and were exhausted. The front desk was very helpful with local restaurants. The rooms were all we needed... More

When we were finally able to kick the swollen door open the room smelled immediately of mold. The tiles in the shower had mold between them, but other than that, there was no visible mold. The door to the room was almost impossible to shut from the outside because you have to pull it so sharply towards yourself. The room... More

While first impressions are rough, the room is dated with old ceiling tiles and bad lighting, but the amenities are nice, and the view is spectacular. The room was musty, but with the windows open it was fine. The bathroom was spacious, and there was a second sink in the dressing area. The beds were firm, contrary to other posts... More

The check-in staff was friendly and very helpful with local info. The room was very large but had a very unpleasant odor. The room was in need of a thorough cleaning. There were spiderwebs and bugs in the corners. The bathroom had mold and mildew. I would not stay there again. We were unable to get wifi signal in the... More

We were dead-tired-whipped from riding our motorcycles to the south all day on Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway and NEEDED a place to lay our heads. This motel was all that we found that wasn't too far from the Parkway... at this time of day. The lady behind the counter was very congenial but that's about the only... More

Great stop for bikers. It lacks fancy, but makes up in cozy. Rooms are dated, our mattress was a bit of a canoe. With it being right off the Blue Ridge makes it most convenient. The price is reasonanble, but could still be less with the lack of amenitie. Could use a new toilet seat too!

I like to support local mom and pop places when traveling. Stayed here before (3 times) and it has gotten worse each time. This time: 1. to turn on the lamp you had to plug it in and unplug to turn off, 2. to turn on the cold water in the shower the owner provided us with a screwdriver. 3.... More

As AT thru hikers, we've stayed in a lot of places on the trail. This place is at the bottom of our list. For 72$ it costs more than some B&Bs off the trail and it's still a mile from town, so not that convenient. The bathroom was scary, mold on the ceiling, felt like the shower was trying to... More

Mom & daughter stayed here delivering A.T. hiker back to trail. It was the most convenient motel to Hog Camp Gap on the A.T. We stayed in Room 37. On the good side, there were 2 beds reasonably comfortable, a frig (which we used), a microwave (which we didn't have need of), a tv (not the easiest remote to use... More

I checked in after 22:00 and got a king bed the sheets just covered the mattress, but that was fine with me cause the bed was comfortable enough. It was past the main part of town and quiet, there was a coffee maker in the room along with a microfridge. The a\c was cool and the shower was hot and... More
