This visit to Yogaville -- my third and longest stay -- was a wonderful alternative to the usual New Year's revelry. Some 70 other people gathered for a four-night silent retreat. We received instruction and guidance in meditation and yoga, and had the opportunity to spend time in the LOTUS as well as visit and meditate in Swami Satchidananda's home... More

We made a last minute decision to go to this ashram for 3 days over Christmas. No regrets. It was a great experience. The accommodation was simple and adequate especially since we didn't spend much time in our room. There was too much to do.We hiked one day. We visited the various areas of the ashram including the beautiful LOTUS... More

Try the welcome Weekend at Yogaville and you will come back. Lovely place, nice ambience, great staff, good yoga & meditation sessions. Food is the best part, you have veggie, vegan and gluten free options.

I was a yoga novice but tagged along on a group trip with my mom and aunt. The sleeping facilities were very nice, economical, and very clean (we stayed in a dorm room). I'd recommend earplugs and an eye mask to those who are un-used to sleeping in a room with 7 other people. The food was my favorite part--... More

My girlfriend and I (we're in our 40s) enjoyed Friday-Sunday here last weekend. We shared a two twin bed/private bath room. It feels like a modern college dorm room, but it was much cleaner. It made not wearing your shoes very easy. The beginner yoga classes were wonderful and thought provoking as the integral approach was fascinating. I expected to... More

My most recent trip to Yogaville was for a just-me silent retreat over Thanksgiving. Logistics: It was my first stay in the dorms and they are FABULOUS. I was expecting a room full of 30 rickety metal bunk beds, but it feels much more like college. Pretty spacious rooms, very well built bunk shelves - yes, there are "upper bunks"... More

I just returned from a day trip to Yogaville and will definitely be returning once the weather gets warmer! I went with a group of people so we were able to get a tour of the grounds, go to a hatha class, attend meditation, and have lunch together. Yogaville is nestled in the mountains in it's own world away from the... More

I did not really know what to expect, When I signed up for a quick two day trip of the ashram. At first I didn't think I would make it even through the first day. It was all a little different from the check in to the first meal, but once I got into the swing of the place I... More

Three city dwelling carnivores took on the "Welcome Weekend" package at Yogaville.... First the checking was quick and the staff friendly and helpful. We found everyone to be quite welcoming. Second the room (private) was clean and simple with a comfortable bed. Additional bedding (pillows, blankets were in the room) There is no TV or phone...be prepared and if you... More

I took the "Welcome Weekend" package at Yogaville around the end of July. It was 170$ for 2 nights in a dormitory room with shared bath. You check in Friday and get a wristband and assigned to your room. The first class there was a Yoga Nidra class to relax you. Then a meditation class. This was followed by dinner.... More
