We stopped at the Wedgewood Motor Inn on the way back to Roanoke from VA beach. Snow was falling on 460 by the time we got here. We pulled into the motel and were leary about staying here due to some of the reviews and pictures of Roaches. We decided to give it a try we got a two double... More

We stopped here because we were in the middle of nowhere and needed a place to stay for the night. It was a very basic room but it did have a tv and microwave. The clerk was nice and came to the room when we had trouble getting the door open. I probably wouldn't choose to stay here again but... More

The Wedgewood is a modest but comfortable and affordable place to stay. It cost $50 plus the obligatory taxes per night for one bed. Am told that the two bed rooms are $60. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room included a TV with Fox News Channel among others, a small refrigerator, microwave, closet, roomy sink and counter and... More

I dont know where to start. The rooms smell awful, the.sheets have blood stains and all.kinds.of small.black.particles all over them. The towels.are even.worse. seems like they have the.same.linen from the.first day they opened. They barge.into.your.room.at anytime. They dont even knock and.the.couple.times.they have.knocked they did .not.wait for.a response.before.opening the.door. and to top it.off.they did.not evn.have.a.housekeeping.cart so i have.no idea what business... It's as basic as it gets. Wi-Fi doesn't work, rooms are dated (but clean), and there are no amenities. If you just need a place to sleep while doing other things around town, this is sufficient. That being said, there are plenty of things to do withing walking distance. That's the best thing about this hotel.

I stay here a lot when I am doing work around blackstone, and I've been very patient with the owners up to this point, but its really getting old being double charged for rooms and having to get it resolved. The rooms are ok, linens and towels are cheap and old, and just simple communication with the owners is difficult.... More

After a long day of visiting family coming back to this motel was really comforting . The no smoking room has flat screen t.v's. There was alot of space inside the single and double bed rooms. There was also a pizza hut right across the street . The only thing bad i'd say Is to fix up the front desk... More

I stayed here overnight on Thanksgiving and found the room very clean and the beds comfortable. I was surprised they had free WiFi. I was hear to spend Thanksgiving with my family and it was convenient to their home. I would recommend this motel to anyone. It was clean, convenient, and easy to find.

I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Normally rooms in this price point (below $75) in a small town like Blackstone are not well kept, this is the exception. Updated bathroom with new shower curtain with the wide curtain rod, new tile on the floor, and solid surface countertop. Microwave, dorm fridge, well kept desk and TV Cabinet made up... More
