We were in town for our 8th grade daughters Honor Roll Band performance at Virginia Tech. While all other hotels/motels were booked, Nicky provided us with fantastic rooms with TONS of cozy amenities for a much better price! If it weren't raining, we could have easily walked within 10 minutes to the Squires Student Union, Drill Field and Burruss Auditorium... More

The new owners are doing a fine job of taking over this local landmark, and have plans for adding a "green" touch as well. We were in the American room for five days and quite comfortable, few problems, none worth a mention. Easy walking distance to Virginia Tech, as well as the historic/hip little college downtown, across the street from... More

This is our second stay and Clay Corner Inn and it keeps getting better and better! Nicky and Rick are wonderful and we were quite sad when we left as we felt like we were leaving two great friends behind. The breakfast is delightful and everything is cooked to perfection. Always a variety of food and you never leave hungry!... More

I was very pleased that my host selected The Clay Corner Inn instead of a traditional motel. Clay Corner Inn is within walking distance of Virginia Tech and all of its facilities. My only disapointment was that I was out the door each morning before breakfast which I heard are great. I hope to return again. More

I had a great stay here. The friendly owners, Rick and Nicky, make you feel at home, and are very helpful. The breakfast is amazing - varies every day and masterfully made! I strongly recommend coming here if you are anywhere in the area! More

We spent a Monday night at the Clay Corner Inn. The room and common areas were clean, inviting and cozy. The location could not be beat as you can walk to campus or town. I read that the place is dog friendly so we will bring our dog the next time we stay. The breakfast was included and was tasty.... More

Walking into The Clay Corner Inn you will enjoy the sweet aromas of fresh baked goods. The breakfasts are great, nice balance of protein and fresh ingredients. Nikki & Rick the new owners are a TERRIFIC new addition to Clay Corner. They are so hospitable and really enjoy people. What a fun couple they are! Amanda is an employee at... More

We visited Blacksburg where my husband received his PHD at Virigina Tech back in the 70's for a visit to the campus and surrounding area. We stayed at the Clay Corner B&B and had a cozy room with access to a large fully equiped kitchen and a nice sized sitting area. Just half a block from the Virginia Tech campus.... More

We recently stayed at the Clay Corner Inn for the third year in a row while visiting my son at VT. While it has always been delightful, I found the new owners to be very positive, outgoing, and friendly so I would have to say this was the best visit yet. In addition, I had messed up my reservation, and... More

This B&B is under new management. The proprietors bought the B&B one month ago and she has a degree in hotel & restaurant management and it shows in every thing and every detail. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived. Shown the layout and our "suite" - it was to be a one room but we received two rooms and... More
