Recently spent the weekend here with a group and enjoyed the riverfront campsites. The staff is friendly and accommodating and the campsites were clean. They do enforce the 11pm - 7am quiet hours. My group was being loud so managment came by to ask us to quiet down. It is also nice that they have tube and canoe rentals on... More

I've stayed here twice; once during a busy late May weekend and once on a much quieter early May weekend. What I like about this campground is that the locations is beautiful; right on the Shenandoah River surrounded by mountains. Christine, the owner and manager, is very friendly and helpful. The first time I stayed here I camped and the... More

Our first visit to this campground and we love it. The tent sites, especially the river view sites, are gorgeous. They are covered in nice, thick grass and are very large. The non-view sites are also awesome...plenty of shade (unlike the river view ones). They rent kayaks, tubes, and canoes and will take you and drop you at different areas... More

This campground has some of the best group spots and is perfect if you want to do a group float trip on the river. The spots are level and have nice grass with few roots and rocks. They do a very nice job taking care of the grounds and keeping the place tidy. There is plenty of room to spread... More

We stayed at this campground in the Summer of 2012 and are returning this year. Our group of friends got two river front sites and the view was beautiful and serene. The best part for us was that the station to go tubing is on the campsite - we just walked over to the office, got on the bus to... More

The state and national park was full, so we got a spot here for one night. The staff was super nice and the location is good; right by the river where you can wade/swim. The neighbors were NOT quiet at 11pm like the signs say (they also say the quiet hours are strictly enforced), and fireworks were going off even... More

We went there to spend Memorial Weekend because all the National Parks' facilities were full. Apparently during off season periods this campground is supposed to be nice and quiet but this time it was overcrowded. On average I guess 8 persons per site so around 500 people with only 7 bathrooms out of which at least 2 were always out... More

Nice spot on south fork of Shenandoah river. Take grandson and friends for a week or so of fishing and swimming every July. 5 sites with 50 amps, water and dump is available. Clean showers and a nice little store. Large tent sites beside river and other sites in field. Tube & canoe rental with drop off and pick up... More

Our scout group has been going here for years. We were most recently there in October 2011 for a 3 day weekend. The river is great, a lot of the camping is right on the river, and we did a lot of fishing from the bridge, even though your're not supposed to. When you enter the park you pass 3... More
