On our visit to the mountains, we chose the Vanquility Acres Inn Bed & Breakfast to stay the night. Ellen, the Innkeeper, warmly greeted us as we arrived. Ellen was very informative on the dining in the area and provided us menus and directions to the restaurants. The stay overnight was a very home comfortable setting with beautiful views of... more

We have stayed in dozens of B&B's throughout the U.S. and Canada. Vanquility Acres ranks among the very best. The setting is simply awesome with views of the Peaks of Otter on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We stayed in the Blue Ridge Room on the first floor of this 10 year old home. Lovely room with all the amenities; large... more

We loved everything about this B&B. We stayed in the Garden Suite, which included a large bedroom with queen bed. The bed was very comfortable. Very cozy suite decorated in country garden style, clean, and quiet. Lots of large windows with great views of backyard and mountains (Peaks of Otter). The suite included a sitting room with fridge, microwave, bistro... more

After a long drive on Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway, this was a wonderful B & B to end up at. Great views, quiet, with many things to do in area (hiking, fishing, picnics, antiques, etc). Ellen makes her own jams, honey and delicious breakfasts and is a very friendly hostess. I would definitely stay here again. Thank... more

We absolutely love the Inn. The view of the Peaks of Otter and the land surrounding the Inn is a must see. Ellen, the Owner, works hard at seeing that everything you could possibly need or want is there for you to enjoy !! We enjoyed being close enough to Lynchburg to go there for the day but far enough... more

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this modern B and B near the Blue Ridge Parkway. Lovely mountain views and room was very, very clean, comfortable and cutely decorated with lots of thoughtful touches. Innkeepers, John and Ellen were extremely welcoming and accommodating: Ellen even took requests for breakfast serving her own homemade preserves and honey with delicious food. She definitely... more

Never fully knowing what to expect we came away with a desire to return if only for the company of John and Ellen. She is warm and friendly and he is a hoot. The accomodations were well appointed and immaculate. Ellen's attitude about the well being of her guests and the experience of their stay are utmost in her mind.... more

We just returned from a visit to the Bedford, VA area and were delighted to have spent one of our nights at the Vanquility Inn in Bedford. The accommodations were very nice and the hospitality was great. John and Ellen were great hosts and made our stay very enjoyable. Their beautiful home and its view of the Peaks of Otter... more

We really enjoyed our stay at Vanquility Acres Inn from Oct. 14 thru Oct. 17. Located just outside the City of Bedford, Virginia and close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Innkeepers, Ellen and John Everett, were just great hosts during our stay, and we could not have asked for more. From the view of mountain peaks off of the... more

I recently stayed at the Vanquility Acres Inn with my husband and a group of friends. This was our third year in a row and I can't imagine not returning! The view from our beautiful room was of the Peaks of Otter and in front of these a lovely pond and animals grazing. The rooms were beautifully appointed with lovely... more
