Vanquility Acres Inn is a home, with acreage, a pond and a view, in a small neighborhood in the country just north of Bedford. There are two rooms. The Blue Ridge Room is a comfortable bedroom with a large bath; the other room is larger, with a private porch overlooking the pond. Ellen Everett will greet you and ensure that... More

Vanquility Acres Inn...simply the best !! John and Ellen always doing little projects to make their B&B the best and most "homey" for their visitors. We simply enjoy the atmosphere and their home away from home. Our kids have grown up coming to Vanquility Acres and John and Ellen have become part of our family. The boys all love Ellen's... More

I lived in the cottage for 4 months during an internship in Bedford and I couldn't have been more pleased with my stay. Ellen and John's hospitality were second to none and they were always available to lend a hand with anything I needed. As an elite cyclist I especially loved it here for the cycling terrain; the proximity to... More

The perfect place to stay for a cycling adventure on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Plenty of room and a great Jacuzzi to rehab your legs! Even a room that is perfect for storing rigs. Stayed here 2 years in a row and don't plan on visiting without staying here.

We visited Natural Bridge drove about 45 mins mostly on Blue Ridge with best fall leaves to here. It is a 14 year old ranch house built as a B&B, with wonderful views of Peaks of Otter near the nice town of Bedford. Greeted warmly by John and shown around. Our well equipped room had a sun porch enclosed with... More

You could not ask for a nicer place. Ellen and John make you feel like family from the first step in their beautiful home. We had a great time, great food and delightful conversations with all. I can't think of anything else they could do to make it any better then it was. This is a place that makes you... More

We had a large group with unusual needs, and they went well out of their way to accommodate us. Very courteous, friendly, and the food was excellent. There was a nice view of Peaks of Otter and even had an evening goat crossing. Will be back if in the area again.
