My wife, my 11-year-old son, and I stayed at the Snapdragon Inn for one night. Our room was great, very comfortable. The people running the inn were very nice. There are lots of interesting things to do in the vicinity (glass blowers, several Simon Pearce glass blowing places are near there, cayaking, hiking, Dartmouth is not far at all, etc.).... More

To celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary we toured New England and this is where we spent our anniversary. On arrival the hotel is very pretty, however does need a little updating, but when you get inside it is amazing. We were made to feel really welcome when we arrived. The room was amazing, huge, with a lovely bathroom with a... More

Stayed here after dropping my son at Kimball Union Academy summer language camp program for Mandarin. I live in NYC and travel all over the world and consider the hospitality received here to be top notch. The owner greeted us and went out of her way to secure us a reservation at Simon Pearce also suggesting the outdoor terrace there.... More

The Snapdragon is a labor of love for Innkeeper Ms Michelle and her attentive staff. The building is historically important and Michelle has given much thought to comfort and "presentation". Breakfast will fortify you to spend your day exploring the Valley. (YANKEE MAGAZINE JULY/AUGUST 2014 for ideas.) Scenic vistas, including Mt Ascutney, beckon. National Historic sites will interest you. Windsor... More

Went with my husband on for an anniversary trip -- leaving our small children with Grandma and enjoying just two days away all on our own. We had a WONDERFUL time. The people who work at the inn are fantastic -- very friendly and helpful in giving us tips about the area, making sure we found places to eat and... More

The Snapdragon was a perfect setting for a quiet weekend for me and my wife. The owners have maintained the house's older charms while updating just enough for comfort's sake. In addition to our lovely, quiet room, we enjoyed the inn's back porch for reading, the gardens, and the beautiful walking paths around the pond just beyond the Inn's fence.... More

Having stayed at many a New England inn, I simply cannot remember any place as lovely and welcoming as the Snapdragon. The fact that it's an excellent value is an added attribute! We were visiting the area specifically for the Saint-Gaudens historic site, which is literally five minutes away across the Cornish-Windsor covered bridge - perfect. We lazed around reading... More

An historic home that's been elegantly converted and modernised into a delightful, high-quality B&B. Although my girlfriend and I didn't get a chance to explore the grounds or utilise all the facilities, our room was very spacious, clean and welcoming. The bed was very comfortable and room included all expected amenities, including iron. Overall, our stay was delightful and I... More
