Nice clean rooms with fireplaces and in room spas. Large great room with cookies in the afternoon. Met several interesting couples from Europe. Excelent breakfast, Susan also has a bakery and makes wedding cakes. The real treat is diner. We worked thru the menu and my favorite was the Rib Eye Steak. Excelent selection of wines. Both Susan and Jerry... more

In reading the reviews, I couldnt agree less with one of them. It seems the person that wont go there again is more used to the larger, more impersonal hotel chains where they weren't able to enjoy the comfort this Inn brought to my friends and I and that's too bad. I stayed there when I was up visiting friends... more

I'm actually confused why there are so many positive reviews on this inn. I stayed at this inn for two nights in October and I was disappointed with my experience to say the least. We arrived an hour early, however Gerry, the innkeeper, said we could check in. However, within two minutes of meeting Gerry (for the very first time)... more

Its unfortunate that we sometimes here complaints long after a guest departs from there stay at our Inn. We ALWAYS ask guests upon there arrival if they have any complaints, problems or need extra help to let us know immediately Obviously, this did not happen in this case. As one can see over 90% of the reviews posted on this...

Just completed a 5 night stay. When we arrived Gerry asked if it was OK if he upgraded us to the "Honeymoon Suite". It freaked out my girlfriend of 2 months, but we fell in love with it. Fireplace was all set each night and only took one match to light. The jacuzzi was great. Nice sitting area where we... more

Gerry and Susan Goodman are the gracious hosts who preside over this beautiful, rambling old inn. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with wood-burning fireplaces, updated bathrooms, cable TV and beds you can actually get a good night's sleep in. You'll want to be up early so you don't miss the breakfasts, which are worth the trip and the calories... more

Booked and paid in advance. Left without staying the night. Room hot, no AC. Windows on busy highway . One window malfunction needed coat hangar to hold open window for air. Other window couldn't raise blind as had been repaired with too large cord. Award at entry dated from 1993. You are on your own here. more

We spent a great holiday weekend at the Nutmeg Country Inn over the 4th of July. Gerry, Susan, and their staff treated us to their warm hospitality. The included BBQ dinner was outstanding! We enjoyed a wonderful escape, even if just for a couple of days. This was our second time at the inn and we're looking forward to a... more
