We happened upon this lovely inn by accident after deciding it was too late to begin our drive on Route 100 through the Green Mountain National Forest. We began looking for a place to stay the night, and fortunately for us, the Nutmeg Inn had a vacancy. It turned out to be the quintessential B&B experience, with beautiful but cozy... More

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Nutmeg. The room was spacious and clean. We only stayed 1 night, but would have liked to stay longer. The location was perfect, between Brattleboro and Bennington. This bed and breakfast had great charm and a homey feel. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. We would stay... When I walked into the Nutmeg Country Inn any worries and any anxieties I had, just melted away. If I could, I would have stayed another day. My mom was pleasantly surprised and wanted her photo taken of her in her room. If you like cozy atmospheres, charming rooms, wood floors, heavy drapes, fireplaces, books galore, paintings, plumped sofas, indirect... More

We had a weekend on our own at this boutique inn and loved every minute of it. The staff was hospitable and very helpful. The room was charming and the breakfast was lovely. All that we could ask for. We're sure to come back!

We have stayed mostly in B&B's when traveling out of the US, but usually find the premium for B&B in the states too much. The Nutmeg Inn is a perfect combination of charm and value in a small New England town. All of the staff, starting with the owners who suggested where to eat and talked about their renovation of... Very snug and cosy hotel, a real home from home Breakfast was excellent and the staff very friendly and make you feel like they want you there. Room was a little small but served perfectly well Hotel is very nicely decorated with many lovely paintings and good taste in furnishings Location is delightful and Wilmington itself is a pretty little... This was our first B&B of our week long New England trip. We stayed in a different B&B every night, and the Nutmeg Inn was my favorite!! It is such an adorable place. The feel of it all fit in very well with New England in the fall. I absolutely LOVED having a real wood fireplace in our room (not... More

We enjoyed the charm of the Inn as well as the staff a great deal. This is a great spot for a romantic get away. The full breakfast was delicious, the late night glass of house wine in the old carriage house living area was wonderful. If you are a B&B kind of person, you will love the Nutmeg Inn.... More

This place is definitely one to revisit! We've stayed at a few inns, but this one, by far, has been one of the best. The service is wonderful; the room is very comfortable, & very nicely decorated. Great location! Can't say enough about this place.

You simply won't find a cleaner, warmer, aesthetically pleasing bed and breakfast. Anywhere. Period. Each of the staff are professional, skilled in their work, and provide an atmosphere that is sincere and without pretense. The interior decorating is balanced, interesting, and invites conversation. It would be difficult to imagine anything that surpasses this experience. We will definitely be returning to... More
