We have stayed mostly in B&B's when traveling out of the US, but usually find the premium for B&B in the states too much. The Nutmeg Inn is a perfect combination of charm and value in a small New England town. All of the staff, starting with the owners who suggested where to eat and talked about their renovation of... Very snug and cosy hotel, a real home from home Breakfast was excellent and the staff very friendly and make you feel like they want you there. Room was a little small but served perfectly well Hotel is very nicely decorated with many lovely paintings and good taste in furnishings Location is delightful and Wilmington itself is a pretty little... This was our first B&B of our week long New England trip. We stayed in a different B&B every night, and the Nutmeg Inn was my favorite!! It is such an adorable place. The feel of it all fit in very well with New England in the fall. I absolutely LOVED having a real wood fireplace in our room (not... More

We enjoyed the charm of the Inn as well as the staff a great deal. This is a great spot for a romantic get away. The full breakfast was delicious, the late night glass of house wine in the old carriage house living area was wonderful. If you are a B&B kind of person, you will love the Nutmeg Inn.... More

This place is definitely one to revisit! We've stayed at a few inns, but this one, by far, has been one of the best. The service is wonderful; the room is very comfortable, & very nicely decorated. Great location! Can't say enough about this place.

You simply won't find a cleaner, warmer, aesthetically pleasing bed and breakfast. Anywhere. Period. Each of the staff are professional, skilled in their work, and provide an atmosphere that is sincere and without pretense. The interior decorating is balanced, interesting, and invites conversation. It would be difficult to imagine anything that surpasses this experience. We will definitely be returning to... More

The Nutmeg Country Inn is a delightful place to stay. Wendy at the front desk is delightful. I could easily move in next door and make her a friend. Doug , the Innkeeper is very personable and chatted with us several times. Our room was small, but that was our choice. We booked a low cost room to keep the... More

My wife and I stayed at the Nutmeg after 4 days of bicycle touring and tent camping. The last 20 miles before arriving were biked in the rain. I was cold and tired and immediately the owner made me feel at home and welcomed. After a hot shower and getting my biking clothes in the laundry we were shown around... More

What a great Inn! What a fine piece of History! If you're looking for a spiffy-new, cookie-cutter Micro-Tel, then please drive on by. If you like unique, lovingly restored, slightly creaky, well-appointed B&B's with beautiful grounds, great breakfasts and a staff that treats you like friends, then here's your place! Wilmington is a lovely little town that is still a... More

We stopped at the Nutmeg Inn on a quick trip to Wilmington to attend a memorial service, and to take the opportunity to paddle on Lake Harriman When we arrived at the inn, the hostess enthustiacally offered us a quick and informative tour of the in, which was in a restored colonial building, filled with artworks collected by the owners,...
