Three of us ate here at the end of MLK weekend. We started with drinks and snacks in the sunken bar. The margaritas were perfection. Jack is a very professional bartender who will happily make you whatever you want and do it well. The deviled eggs are crave worthy. We then moved to the dining room. We ordered the 64... More

The Inn has recently been purchased by The Hermitage Club and appears to be in the renovation process which is good, because it needs it! The room was nice and the bathroom updated but . . . the tile work was shabby with grout spatters, the hardwood florrs need to be cleaned and refinished. The Inn smelled old and musty,... More

Thank you for staying with us at The White House recently. You’re absolutely right, the Inn was in desperate need of some TLC, and boy is it going to get it! The good news is that what you saw was just phase 1 which we are finalizing now. In phase 2, starting soon, the entire basement level is undergoing a... More

Love coming here for dinner. I sit at the beautiful bar looking out over the Valley. For some reason, every time I come, I have a wonderful conversation with fellow diners! I think it is the intimate atmosphere of the bar and the fact that there isn't a television playing. On a cold snowy night they have the wood stove... More

Oh my god --trying to make a reservation at the White House restaurant was a nightmare. First we hear a recording that "you've reached the Hermitage properties, your call is important to us"--then on hold listening to music for 20 minutes--"you are caller number 5"---then finally switched to an answering machine to leave a message!!! Can't believe that these guys... More

We were fortunate enough to get a room at the White House Inn on a weeknight. This property is located in Vermont's Green Mountain chain and is absolutely wonderful. It is clean, comfy and a marvelous property. Although the place is in need of painting, the inside is absolutely wonderful. The living room could host a boardroom. There is a... More

I was making my way towards Boston and I stopped here for the night only. I think I was the last guest of the season. An historic home turned boutique hotel, it sits above town on it's own land and commands the area. I imagine lots of weddings are held here as the building and grounds are gorgeous. The room... my husband and I just hosted our small wedding at the inn this past weekend, and I cannot say enough positive things about our experience. Jill, the innkeeper, made it all possible. She is welcoming, resourceful, thoughtful, so sweet, and was willing to do whatever it took to make sure our wedding went well, and that our guests had a... More

Upon arrival we were greeted by Jill Byarm the General Manager. She had delicious home made cookies for snacks as we checked in to get our key. She took us on a tour of the Inn. We had a massage scheduled for later that afternoon and Lynette was amazing. She set the tone for the start of our overnight stay... More

My husband and I recently came here on a deal w/ living social. I didn't know much about the area or the hotel when purchasing it, it was a great deal. We desperately needed some time away as a couple away from our young children. ;) we were pleasantly surprised. We were in the old part of the mansion in... More
