If you are in need of a clean place to shower and sleep, and appreciate historic buildings, then give this place a try! We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Coolidge and recommend it to those who dont require a coddled and pampered experience. We shared a room w friends (two rooms separated by a bathroom) and we found... More

This is an old hotel so expect that going in. I mean, yeah, the fixtures are not new and the floors are slanted, but -- traveling alone for business -- I thought this place was pretty great. Not a cookie cutter hotel for sure! I had a two small rooms separated by a bathroom. This was perfect for me since... More

We had been recommended this hotel by a friend who had stayed many years back in the hostel section. So we were not surprised at all by the charming train horns or the grand staircase. We were greeted by a kind gentleman at the front desk. They are old school here. They run you credit card with a machine that... More

Stayed August 8 & 9, 2014, room 129, top of the stairs. Shower/tub unit had caulking falling out of the seams, with mold growing in between. Got up Saturday morning and went down to lobby to get a coffee. There was a bunch of coffee cups, with coffee on a table. I was told I could not have a cup... More

Having no reservations, we found the Hotel Coolidge. Being tired and road weary, we decided to stay. We waited for approximately 15 minutes for help at the front desk. It gave me time to notice the cobwebs on the lamp near the main desk window.... We rented a "suite." Although the suite was clean, it was basic. The door locks... More

At first glimpse this place seems wonderful. But I did not find it guest friendly at all. I made reservations well ahead of time and requested an early check in. After driving 20 hours straight I arrived at about 1:30 and was told there were no early check-ins. Meanwhile I overheard the housekeeper tell another employee that all the rooms... More

I regret that, apparently, we were not smoother on making the early check-in happen - there are very few occasions when this can not be done and we intend to accommodate all that we can. I will be looking into this. I can imagine that after driving 20 hours straight it would be maddening to not get into the room... More

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Coolidge for 1 night. It was lovely. Clean, spacious rooms. Updated where needed, but still held onto historic charm. Loved the history of the hotel! Staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and not rushed. The gentleman who checked us in took time to tell us about local restaurants, including a great diner (4 Aces)... More

Just spent 6 days here with a RoadScholar group. I really liked being in an old hotel that hasn't been "upgraded" to a boutique hotel, like so many are. I had no problems with my room and the owner, Dave, was great!

The staff and owner are delightful, steeped in Vermont and New England history. Because of its history as a railroad junction house, housing railroad employees overnight (or shorter), the original structure did not have private bathrooms. When remodeled to provide them, 3 original sleeping rooms were made into a single hotel room, with the center one being the bathroom. This... More

Some people collect antiques because of their uniqueness. When you choose an older hotel, you have to expect some wonky things, just as you would with a traditional Bed and Breakfast. I selected this hotel for that very reason. This hotel was charming and quite accommodating. Having suite type rooms makes traveling in a group very convenient. My team and... More
