Wanda and Joe are the nicest people. It felt like I was staying with family. If your looking for a luxury hotel this is not the place. But if you are looking for a lodge type feel with good food, nice people and a homey touch then I would definitely recommend this place. I would definitely stay there again.

Came here with a group from my law school. The owners are beyond nice and accomodating. Every request was fulfilled, they even gave us sticks and marshmellows to roast in the fireplace! They helped us hook up our music so we could really turn the big common room into the hang out spot. Great hot chocolate for only a dollar!... More

I stayed here for five days now and I have never met nicer people. The two owners husband and wife are some of the greatest people that I've met. Food is fantastic and at a reasonable price. You are really able to get that homey feel. Location can't be beat being right down the street from Mount Snow. If I... More

This 5-star rating is given based on factors as they apply to the authenticity of a true Vermont/European lodge experience. People looking for Grand Summit Hotel accomodations/Ritz Carlton, this is not rated in those categories. It's a real lodge and here is my review. Stayed in a suite room in January with family (3 total). The owners are genuine caring... More

We stayed at the Matterhorn Inn this weekend while participating in the Green Mountain Adventure Challenge. Joe and Wanda the owners are wonderful people. We immediately felt at home. We had a blast talking with them while sitting at the bar trying to decipher our clues. Both Joe and Wanda were so welcoming. Both of them have great personalities and... More

We went to find some adventure and what we got was so much more. We visited the Matterhorn Inn as part of an adventure/hiking activity we signed up for in the town of West Dover. When we first arrived we were welcomed by a true character, named Joe. He had a wry sense of humor that immediately made us feel... More

My best decision in planning a retreat for my business school classmates was choosing to lodge at the Matterhorn Inn. First, I couldn't have asked for better hosts than Joe and Wanda. They're warmth and energy made us feel very welcomed and they more than accommodated all of our requests. Secondly, the hotel provided a perfect setting to host a... More

Just stayed at the Matterhorn for two nights. this was the perfect place to stay. Although the rooms are ordinary, the atmosphere of the place was fantastic. The great room has a large fireplace with lots of couches and chairs for relaxing. We got drinks at the bar and then sat around for hours chatting and meeting new friends. sat... More

Stayed here recently for a trip to Mt. Snow & Stratton. Owners and staff are very friendly. Rooms are simple, basic and clean. Close to Mt. Snow. Breakfast is included and is quite good - eggs, pancakes/waffles, bacon, sausage, cereal, bagels/english muffins. We stayed 2 nights and there was variety on each day for breakfast, which was nice. Pancakes were... More
