We stayed at the Matterhorn Inn this weekend while participating in the Green Mountain Adventure Challenge. Joe and Wanda the owners are wonderful people. We immediately felt at home. We had a blast talking with them while sitting at the bar trying to decipher our clues. Both Joe and Wanda were so welcoming. Both of them have great personalities and... More

We went to find some adventure and what we got was so much more. We visited the Matterhorn Inn as part of an adventure/hiking activity we signed up for in the town of West Dover. When we first arrived we were welcomed by a true character, named Joe. He had a wry sense of humor that immediately made us feel... More

My best decision in planning a retreat for my business school classmates was choosing to lodge at the Matterhorn Inn. First, I couldn't have asked for better hosts than Joe and Wanda. They're warmth and energy made us feel very welcomed and they more than accommodated all of our requests. Secondly, the hotel provided a perfect setting to host a... More

Just stayed at the Matterhorn for two nights. this was the perfect place to stay. Although the rooms are ordinary, the atmosphere of the place was fantastic. The great room has a large fireplace with lots of couches and chairs for relaxing. We got drinks at the bar and then sat around for hours chatting and meeting new friends. sat... More

Stayed here recently for a trip to Mt. Snow & Stratton. Owners and staff are very friendly. Rooms are simple, basic and clean. Close to Mt. Snow. Breakfast is included and is quite good - eggs, pancakes/waffles, bacon, sausage, cereal, bagels/english muffins. We stayed 2 nights and there was variety on each day for breakfast, which was nice. Pancakes were... More

All you could want for the weekend at Mount Snow. Close to the mountain. On the Moover route. Near the bars and restaurants. The owners are lovely, welcoming and very helpful. Common area is big and comfortable. People at the bar having fun. Clean. Reasonable. No complaints. Will definitely be back.

My wife and I attended a Christmas party at the Matterhorn Inn and couldn't have been more happy about the whole experience. Food was excellent, service was very friendly and efficient, and our room was comfortable and reasonably priced. The Inn was beautifully decorated for the holidays and the atmosphere was perfect for a snowy December night.

My wife and I stayed at the Matterhorn Inn while we completed the Green Mountain Adventure Challenge during our 10 year dating anniversary. When we checked-in we were greeted by Joe the inn keeper. He was funny and very hospitable. The room was humble, but clean and very comfortable! I attribute our success in the challenge to Joe's kind nature,... More

I first came to the Matterhorn Inn by way of my friend who was throwing a birthday party here. From the minute I walked in I thought the Matterhorn was warm, charming, and wonderful. The owner, Joe and his wife checked me in and I cannot say enough kind words about them. They were accommodating in every way, warm and... More

We found ourselves in Dover on the brink of a torrential lightening storm/flash flood, and the Matterhorn didn't hesitate to take us in and make us feel right at home. The owner Joe was friendly and amazingly accommodating from the moment we walked in the door, and most definitely made us feel comfortable and welcome. The rooms were clean, the... More
