The West Dover Inn is a terrible place to book. After booking on line from their website (which uses a beautiful Green Mountain Fall view for background) my wife and I were looking forward to a relaxing 3 days at the Inn. We traveled nearly 200 miles from Cape Cod only to be extremely disappointed upon arrival. The Inn is... More

Trip to the West Dover in was one to be remembered. Went there in mid September, the weather was perfect for hiking, kayaking and the foliage had even began to change nicely. The Inn was extremely clean, well kept, and the staff was very pleasant and personable. The owner Phil checked us in and was helpful giving ideas of what... More

We stayed here for one night on our fall road trip in October. I booked this place based on the positive reviews and photos on the website. To be frank the property is nothing like the photos it is tired, old, and in need of repair. We rented the green mountain room and at $229 per night I would expect better.... More

I found West Dover Inn on Living Social and decided to try it as we were going to be in the area. We stayed on the second floor (older inns do not have elevators) but it was no problem. Room was very clean with many antiques. Bed was comfy and large screen TV in room with free WiFi. The owners,... More

We stayed at the West Dover Inn last week for 2 nights for the Green Mountain Adventure Challenge. The room was clean, comfortable and quaint. The innkeeper, Phil, and his family were incredibly accommodating and really helped to make our stay one of the best we’ve ever had! Breakfasts were delicious, and they were even able to fully accommodate a... More

Found this place on Living Social and it actually included breakfast which was a pleasant surprise. We stayed in the Dover Room which can accommodate 5 people. The room was basic but suited our needs. Phil the owner was very nice and highly visible thru out our stay. We had dinner in the tavern which was basic bar food, burgers... More

We found this deal on living social, and let me tell you, that was the best find ever! We already had plans to stay with family in Lake George, and after finding this deal, decided to take Monday off of work and go to Vermont for a night. Reserving a room was very easy, and Phil, the innkeeper himself, responds... More

Visited last Friday night. Phil and Lauren are just terrific. Checked in and headed right to the restaurant, attached to the Inn. Service was outstanding, actually Lauren waited on us. Excellent Cosmo then a glass of Fourteen Hands wine.....delish! Good choice of food on the menu. We were not terribly hungry so just went with a few appetizers. We had... More

This is an old inn. The floors are crooked, it's about 2 inches off the road, and our door didn't lock. Just what you think a New England B and B is about. What made this place get a higher rating was Phil, the owner. He went out of his way to find out what we would like to do... More

You can read specifics of everyone's experiences, room quality, etc...in the other reviews. To me, it all boils down to service and the personnel. Innkeeper Phil, daughter Lauren, and rest of the staff did an outstanding job start to finish during my one week's stay with them. They provided a high level of service and personal attention to even the... More
