We had a wonderful time here. Owner made us a lovely fire, we had a bunch of kids and we felt at home. Incredible morning coffee watching the birds. We snow shoed in the morning. Again, if you want the conveniences of a hotel and pool - you should go to a hotel.

If you're looking for cookie cutter rooms and perfectly level floors, this is not the place for you. If you enjoy quirky buildings with an interesting detail around every corner, you'll love it. Quilts, stained glass, and a variety of creative wood trim appear in all sorts of unexpected places. There's a game room that came alive in the evening... More

I can see how some people love this place, but we did not. Overall, the Haus is old, a bit neglected, tired and worn. You get the feeling that at one time this place may have been charming but it feels like not much has been invested in the upkeep and maintenance of an aging establishment: carpets are worn, the... Pros: the breakfast was excellent. The hosts Jeff and his wife were friendly and helpful. He lit a fire every night which made it cozy. Cons: you could hear everything in the room next to ours, which was very uncomfortable. I would have liked better linens and sheets. I don't think I'd return.

The owner explained this B & B was built by the original owners who came from Germany and reproduced the building as one from their homeland. It is beautifully built with beams, gingerbread, stone and unmatching pieces of natural materials: just as it should be. If you want a chain hotel, this isn't for you. As others commented, the floors... More

I read the reviews before making a reservation and they are all fairly accurate. If you are looking for charm, getting away from the hectic pace then you will likely enjoy your stay. We stopped here after a 400 km motorcycle ride in the rain. Linda was there to greet us and show us around. She answered all our questions,... More

It has been a while since we stayed here. The Inn is very dated. The rooms do not offer locks (only from the inside) so you are not able to lock your room with your belongings inside when you leave you room. While finishing my hair and make-up in the bathroom, was my husband not lying on the bed reading... More

Our first visit but definitely not our last. It is facebook posted official how much we loved it. :). It was a treat to have someone make me breakfast for once. I want ed to stay longer to continue our conversations with Jeff and Linda. We've already chatted it up with our friends so hopefully it will lead them to... More

I just spent several days celebrating my 50th birthday with my sister. We had a blast! Both Linda & Jeff are excellent and attentive Inn Keepers and the food was scrumptious! I HIGHLY recommend a visit as you'll be glad you got a chance to enjoy this beautiful destination. :) The overall value can't be beat! STOP LOOKING ONLINE and... More

Grunberg Haus continues to be our choice stay for Waitsfield VT & surrounding areas in VT. We've been here 3 times & have never been disappointed. Linda & Jeff welcome you in & attend to all your needs. They accommodated our request for early breakfast - which was delicious! Our room was very spacious with a library wall & very... More
