Me and my family just needed a place to relax with the kids away from our juggling schedules, and the farm was a very goof fit for all of us. Kids(11 and 3) got to tour the animals under supervision which is good, loved the daily evening farm chores which they still cannot stop talking about, and the campfire that... More

This family enjoyed all aspects of the farm, from helping with chores, to relaxing on the porch. We loved having the extra hands during chore time to help carry water and grain to the animals! We look forward to meeting them again one day. More

If your looking for a place to stay to just relax and enjoy you have come to the right place. Kim and Chuck are the perfect hosts. We used their B and B as a girls weekend to view the lovely New England colors. We loved playing with their dog and cat not to mention their sheep, chickens, llama and... More

It is always our pleasure to share our farm with our guests! These two ladies appreciated our being off the beaten path and took full advantage of relaxing with our barn kitty on the porch. More

I give Grand View Farm my highest recommendation. Chuck and Kim are perfect hosts and guides. My family (my husband, I and two children ages 15 and 5) have indelible memories from our recent weeklong stay -- egg collecting, wild raspberry picking, hauling hay, communing with the sheep, gazing at the Milky Way and a shooting star in the night... This family stayed with us for 7 nights on the farm. In doing so, they were able to experience much of Vermont country living. They stayed fairly close to the farm in their excursions, visiting neighboring farms, and our closest "city", Barre. They happily joined us in our chores and even volunteered to help put hay up in our barn.... More

My daughter (age 8) and I chose the Vermont Grand View Farm as a stop on our "2014 girl's getaway" because we wanted to have a rural VT experience. We were delighted to find the home cozy and just as described. We were more than comfortable and were happy to let Kim do the cooking! Our meals included a pizza... More

Our farmhouse suite has a small kitchenette with a microwave, small refrigerator, sink, and dishes, making it more convenient to store food and prepare simple snacks and meals. The closest village is a 4 mile drive where you will find several general stores with the basic supplies. A 15 mile drive north, will bring you to either a large chain... More

A lovely farm, fabulous room, great food and kind hosts! We truly enjoyed our stay on the farm with our three kids (11,9 and 6). They got to experience helping out with farm chores and even took a felting class with Kim! They learned a lot and had fun! The property is beautiful and the view from the hill is... More

We advise using our driving directions when traveling to the farm. As you will find with many of the rural areas of Vermont, GPS and other computer generated directions often have wrong turns. The problem being that some of the dirt roads in Vermont were built 50+ years ago and are no longer in use. A link to our driving... More

We had a very lovely 5 day stay at the Grand View Farm. Our stay was very comfortable. The house is spacious enough and has just the right amount of privacy. My kids loved each day spent there. Both Kim and Chuck are very gracious hosts and they were patient enough to answer all the hundred plus questions our kids... More

We offer our guests the option of having a full breakfast provided or getting breakfast on their own. This family decided to prepare their own breakfast. I would find them up by our greenhouse in the mornings where our gas grill is set up. They would use the side burner on the grill to make their tea and then they... More

I traveled to the Grand View Farm with my mom and my 2 kids. The accommodations were perfect for our situation. One bedroom had a queen bed and fit a pack n play nicely. The other had 2 twin beds. The sitting area was a nice size and the house was loaded with puzzles and kids toys that my 4... More

Our guests are always welcome to help out with chores. Collecting the eggs is usually the highlight for most of our guests as well as meeting the sheep! Most guests let us know which days they would like to help us during their stay on the farm, and we try to coordinate our chore time with their touring schedules so... More

My daughter and I spent one night on our way back to Boston after a busy couple of days in the Burlington/Shelburne area. The farm has a beautiful setting on a well-maintained dirt road and we loved our tour of the animals and gardens. Our room was comfortable and quiet with two twin beds. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and... More

We offer dinner to our B&B guests for the very reasons this guest stated. It allows our guests to arrive and settle in without having to, head back out to find a meal. We prepare all of our meals with locally sourced food. I do ask for advanced notice when requesting dinner. I am so glad that our farm provided... More

We had a lovely weekend visit to the Grand View Farm last month - everything was just right, from the perfect directions (thank goodness, since the GPS was far from accurate about the final dirt roads), to the dinner recommendations, to Kim's helpful and thoughtful suggestions on places to visit. As it turns out, it's a very good thing we... More

Together with our 2-year old daughter we spent 4 days at VT Grand View Farm and couldn't have been happier! The rooms are very tastefully furnished and the beautiful porch is just great to hang out and enjoy the peace and quiet (especially when the two cats are around : ) The Goodlings really treated us like family and we...
