Went here to celebrate our 2 year anniversary--we like the snowboading/skiing at the Mad River Valley has some great microbrews. The past year we stayed at Sugarbush Lodge which is about $20 more for a private room. But a hostel is more our style and a little cheaper. Plus they have a bar downstairs where we could sip on the... More

Charlie & I stayed at Hostel Tevere last week over New Year's celebrating his 15th, skiing Mad River Glen & Sugarbush....we had the best time bunking at HT. Sarah & Giles are great hosts. The whole place was very clean & comfortable. We both had good nights' sleep in our bunkbeds after skiing and carousing the Warren/Waitsfield, VT area. There... More

Go, enjoy, thank me later! Giles and Sarah deliver a fun and funky experience. The Mad River Valley has a lot of cool places and this is one of them. Seek them out when you are in the area. At the base of Sugarbush access road.

The owner, Giles, was a fantastic host at first impression, as I was to arrive late in the night and he called ahead to see when I was coming in, waiting for my arrival before he made his exit for the night. I can't appreciate that enough. Having this hostel as a place to lay my head for a Saturday... More

My daughter and I stayed at the hostel for about a dozen nights during the past ski season. Instead of repeating what I glanced at in other reviews, I'll offer up a couple of perspectives on some criticisms of the hostel. Regarding the noise from the bar and music, Giles, Sarah and the staff are really helpful about letting you... More

Can't say enough good things about this place. First off, the owners, Giles and Sara are incredible hosts and made us feel at home immediately. Ate two dinners there and both were fantastic; very apparent that a lot of time and care is invested in their food service. Everything on the menu looked amazing and all of our selections made... I was traveling by myself to take advantage of great skiing conditions. Seems that many others were doing the exact same thing and were all ages of ski bums and not just 22 year old travelers. Yes, you're in bunk rooms but the beds and linens are very comfortable. The strong metal bed frames are of great quality so they... More

Having been to Hostel Tevere by myself (to ski) and with my wife (to kind of ski)...I highly endorse this "hip establishment." Sarah and Giles are young, energetic, and efficient. Not only are the beds comfortable, but the live music and excellent food makes this the only place to stay in the valley. Recluctant-as many-to write this review...if you are... More

I have nothing much to add to other reviews: Stylish, artful, comfortable, friendly, welcoming, immaculately clean, especially for a hostel. The food is a little spendy but fair, I think, a for the quality and portions, especially compared to a lot of ski-town places. Unlike some hostels, which are basically one common room and the bunks, there are multiple spaces... More

Let's start with the good stuff, because there's a lot of it. Hostel Tevere is beautifully decorated, warm and welcoming, clean, and in a great location. But when we stayed there last weekend, there were two incredibly late nights of very loud music from the bar downstairs, making it very difficult to sleep until 2-3am, not what you want before...
