The staff at the amazing Hyde Away Inn were super helpful & extremely nice! They gave us a great rate on one of their biggest rooms and they were very helpful in giving suggestions of what to do around the beautiful state of Vermont. The breakfast was more than just ordinary, it was made to order with local foods &... More

We also enjoyed the bar scene and the bartender was cool making us drinks of our own design like a Maple Syrup Russian. Thats a white russian with obviously a dash of real Vermont maple syrup. We met the Owner too.

We have stayed here twice now to ski at Mad River Glen. Both times we stayed in the adjacent 2 story guest house. The house is wonderfully comfortable with everything you could need. The kitchen is perfectly equipped for cooking all meals. The beds are very comfortable and the bedrooms extremely roomy. There is a nice size bathroom with plenty... More

For the past five years, we have made an annual pilgrimmage to ski at Mad River Glen and Sugarbush. When we do, we stay at The Hydeaway. Margaret and Bruce are wonderful innkeepers and the breakfasts included in your stay are delicious. We usually eat dinner at the restaurant at least once each visit also. Never disappointed. Staying here is... More

Our family of 4 (and 2 young girls) stayed President's Weekend. It's the perfect place in the perfect location with easy ski access. Margaret was very nice and the food/atmosphere in the dining room and adjoining bar was the way apres-ski should be....nice people...fun. The bartenders were both great and fast. We only ate 1 night elsewhere....the other 3 nights... More

We stopped in over Thanksgiving wknd. On a recommendation from friends that have been going there for years and we were not disappointed!! Great food, great beers and great atmosphere. Bob the bartender was most entertaining! Then MK came in to join Bob behind the bar and to watch the two of them interact with one another and customers was... More

I have eaten there several times now and have yet to be disappointed. The service is prompt and friendly and the food very good. They have a well stocked bar that dares to have interesting products -- their beer selection shows an effort to provide the best that local Vermont has to offer. The last visit, a few weeks ago... Our family of four stayed here over a long weekend for a family wedding just down the road. Close to Burlington and lots of hiking and scenery. Many of the guests were cyclists. The location is great, and the accommodations were fine. The woman who checked us in was very friendly, had helpful suggestions for all of our interests, took... More

Motorcycle ride to the Mad River valley and stayed overnight at the Hyde. Mike at the bar was excellent, the selection of local craft beer outstanding and the new flights of tequila tasting menu was an unexpected but welcomed add on. New menu rocks, try the Mehurons steak with black beans, big as the platter and expertly done to order.... More

Stayed here for two nights for a friend's beautiful wedding. This is definitely a great place for families or people just looking for a quiet, friendly retreat in the mountains. It's near plenty of outdoor recreational activities and only about 45 minutes from Burlington. This place is bed & breakfast style and run by a very sweet family. The rooms... More
